Media A d v i s o ry David Foster Foundation, Be a Donor, Save a Life Campaign Date: Tuesday, April 17, 2012 For Immediate Release VICTORIA, BC – On Wednesday, the City of Victoria and the David Foster Foundation, will launch the David Foster Foundation Be A Donor, Save a Life campaign in the Capital Region. The David Foster Foundation is dedicated to providing financial support to Canadian families with children in need of life - saving organ transplants. In addition to helping families with their non-medical expenses, the Foundation strives to increase organ donor awareness throughout Canada and the United States. With thousands of local government employees in the Capital Region, there is great potential to increase awareness and registration for organ donation; a legacy to serve the residents of our Region for years to come. Only 24% of residents in the Capital Region are registered to donate organs.
