And so do we find it impossible to fully grasp that you are the Risen One. But then, like Mary in the garden, we too are dazzled when we hear your voice across the ages: you call each of us by name, and you tell us we cannot hold on to you. We are yours, but you belong to God, to eternity, and to the whole creation. Oh, how we need this Good News, how we need your promises of power from on high for just such a time as this! And how the world needs us to proclaim that same message Mary Magdalene announced to the others: “We have seen the Lord! He is risen! Alleluia!” Amen.
