The Park Avenue development is in collaboration with housing association Ta.• Ceredigion. The housing association wants to build 80 fiats along the river side of the ground. The dub's 400--seat stand wm be demolished and replaced with a new 5SO--seatstand .• paid {or by Tai Ceredigion. Taj Ceredigion will also invest in the dub's facilities by building a new clubhouse, ancillary rooms, community facilities, and a dedicated youth centre. • It is believed there wil} be no other financial settlement between the dub and Tai Ceredigion. The ground will also have a £400,000 3G artificial surface, 75 per cent funded by the footbaU Association of Wales. Taj Ceredigion likely submit a planning application to the county council's planners in late summer. ! Eighty-five Interested parties viewed the plans when they were unveiled at the football dub last week. A spokesman for Tai Ceredi~on said: "Tai Ceredigion was very happy With the interest shown at the consultation. "The constructive feedback on the initial concept plans for the site raised valid and important questions. And we were glad to be able to share the information during our conversations. "We thank all who attended. for giving their time and showing interest in the project. All comments received will be taken into consideration in due course. Local resident Gari Prysor is unhappy 27 flats wiU be built on the car park adjacent to the football dub, with a Joss of parking spaces. But Tai Ceredigion has said just five spaces will be lost as the flats will be built on 'stilts'l with an underground car park for tenants. Extending the fiats into the car park is vital to make the project financially viable, they say . . Donald Kane, representing the dub at the consultation, said: "Nobody thought the Astroturf pi~ch and youth centre was a bad thing. 'The Astroturf will, effectively, make it available for sports 12 hours a day, rather than just 90 minutes of footbatl, "Youth facilities wm take pressure off the (Ceredigion) council, as it , ...,iU come under the urnbrella of the dub."
