The following items are required to be a deemed complete permit application.
TWO COMPLETE SETS OF PLANS that include:

SITE/PLOT PLAN (included on site/plot plan checklist [see reverse side]).

ALL NECESSARY BUILDING ELEVATIONS
(elevations that describe the type of design used such as gambrel, traditional, flat, pitched, etc…)

FLOOR PLAN
(with complete square foot summary and dimensions and room use labels.)
√
APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE

ONE ADDITIONAL FLOOR PLAN (for the County Assessor’s Office.)
I understand an application missing any items will be deemed incomplete and the plan check will not be
scheduled until all the items marked are received by the Building Department. This may affect applicable
fees and codes since the operative date of application will be the date on which a complete application is
received.
All the items required on this check list (including the reverse) are present and complete.

SITE/PLOT
The following items are required to be deemed a complete permit application.
A COMPLETE SITE/PLOT PLAN includes:
Plot plan is drawn at a conventional scale (i.e. 1” = 10’ or 1” = 20’, etc.) with setbacks and buildings
separation dimensioned. Site plan is drawn at a conventional scale of 1” = 20’ or larger.
(Also 1/8” = 1’0”, 1/4” = 1’0”)
Positive contour lines (topos) with 1’ or 2’ intervals. Contours to extend 20’ beyond the limits of
new building construction and/or grading. Contours along entire length of new or extended
driveway for 20’ beyond edge of drive. Contours to be shown in the positive. Show the proposed
project grading on site plan.
Show how the California “Fire Safe” Regulations will be met for driveway and property – (from the
proposed structure to the addressed road), turnaround, turnouts and fuel modification.

• Provide a fully dimensioned driveway profile that includes the following: elevations at road
edge or top of curb, garage floor and at each grade break; percentage of sope between grade
breaks; and distance between grade breaks. A sample profile is available at Building Services.
The location of septic system, propane tank(s), well, and other buildings are shown on plans.
The finished floor elevations for garage and first floor are shown on plans.
(All elevations relative to contour datum.)
All recorded easements located and dimensioned.
Show distances to property lines from proposed building. Parcels one acre or greater require fire
safe setbacks of 30 feet to property lines.
Parcels that are within an area of special flood hazard identified by FEMA flood insurance rate maps
shall show the flood zone. Planning Services may require a licensed civil engineer or surveyor
determine the building is outside the flood zone.
