Attachment E– Radio Tower Site Coordinates and E911 Addresses Coordinates added for the new tower site: Hillsboro i. Latitude 47° 24' 28N" ii. Longitude iii. Ground M.S.L. 97° 04' 05W" 276m/907ft Section 1.12 outlines inquiries submittal. The responses to these questions are provided as addenda to the solicitation. When necessary, the solicitation has been amended. 1. Question: How many new towers are being built? Response: Only one new tower is required, located at the site in Hillsboro, ND. 2. Question: Will you accept concrete shelters in lieu of wood or steel? Response: NDDOT may consider concrete shelters if they meet the specification and size and layout requirements. NDDOT’s current building manufacturer is Thermobond buildings. 3. Question: Plans call for 10’ x 3/4” copper grounding rod. Is copper plated steel acceptable? Response: Yes, copper plated is acceptable. 4. Question: Will NDDOT provide hangers for the provided 7/8 inch coax or do these need to be provided by the contractor? Response: NDDOT will provide the hangers. Contractor to provide 1/2” or 7/8” (NDDOT preference) cushions and boots to coax entrance port on shelter. 5. Question: What is meant by stiff-arm “with tip support-mounting assembly”? And exactly how many of these do you need on the tower? Response: The “stiff arms or tie backs” are required on all four (4) side mounts or gates. In this case there would be four (4). Only one (1) tip support is required for the antenna at the 140’ level. . 6. Question: The stiff-arm with tip support says that it is to be mounted at 140’, but your antenna key shows nothing at that height. Are the 6’ dishes going on this mount? Both? Response: The antenna key is only referring to the load the tower is designed to support. It’s not what we plan to mount on the tower for this project. The tower at Hillsboro will have two (2) DB-224 antenna on top and one side mounted antenna at 140’. Three (3) antennas total, no dishes. . 7. Question: Does the wall between the generator room and equipment room need a fire rating? Response: Yes, the wall needs to be 5/8” sheet rocked. Contact Thermobond Buildings for more information. 1 8. Question: Are we to provide telco cabling from the new shelter to the telco pedestal or simply stub out some conduit? If we are to provide the line, please provide specifications, gauge and how many pairs. Response: Only stubbed out conduit to the edge of the landscaping fabric and rocks is required. Telco will install the telephone lines. 9. Question: Does NDDOT want to own or lease the propane tanks? Response: NDDOT owns all of the propane tanks. 10. Question: Do existing towers already have a grounding halo, or are we installing new halo around all existing towers?? Response: Halo around tower is existing. New building halo much be connected to existing tower halo. 11. Question: Do you know the distance to electrical service pole at each site? Response: At all the sites except Bowman the run should be under 100’. At Bowman it may be slightly longer. 12. Question: Do you know the distance to telco service pole at each site? Response: N/A 13. Question: Do you have a preference for poly or metal lines for propane? Response: Prefer metal 14.
