Year: 4 Context: Term: Summer 1 This half term in Year 4, we are thinking about different countries around the world. We will be reading ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ by Jules Verne in Literacy and writing play scripts. In Geography, we will be looking closely at atlases and doing our own research to understand more about the UK, France and Brazil. Topic: Around the World in 80 in Days Hand in Date: Thursday 11th May 2017 What I need to do: Children need to create a fact file about a country of their choice. Location and capital city Population of the country Language Human and physical features Things to do Interesting facts Alongside their fact file, children should also think of a creative way to represent the flag of that country. For example, by using paper to collage or fabric to create different textures.
