Not so long ago in Tinga Tinga, there was
a cute little Tickbird with an empty belly
who lived in the grassland. He cheerfully
lived with his friends including: Rhino,
Hippo, Hyena, Tortoise and Zebra. While
the heat warmed the land, the animals lay
on the ground.
Not all the animals were lying on the
ground; Tickbird (who was always
hungry) was searching for yummy
food. He felt exhausted from walking;
he could only walk a couple steps. He
couldn't actually live on Rhino because
he was too pointy.
Until now, nobody decided to
encourage Tickbird to live on another
animal," Live on Hippo" announced
Hyena" You'll live peacefully." "Never!"
Replied Tickbird furiously. Suddenly,
Zebra with a heart of gold, who wanted
to help, mentioned," Don't be miserable
,I'll search for some food."
In a flash, Zebra- who was extremely smartdashed to search for delicious food. On his
quest, he found a pit with a massive pile of
ticks. "Uh oh", Zebra groaned. Without
knowing, some of the ticks climbed on his
hairy back "I'm itchy!" wailed Zebra as he
rushed back to his friends.
When he returned, Tickbird noticed the ticks on his
back. Tickbird then made his leap of faith and landed on
Zebra's back. He spotted all the ticks on Hippo's body.
For the second time, Tickbird leaped onto Hippo." So
much food!" He cried," This is amazing!" "Yay, I'm not
itchy!" Replied Hippo. From that day, all of the animals
lived cheerfully. Tickbird never got starving, Hippo never
got itchy and the other three lived in their lovely homes.
So that's why Tickbird lives on Hippo.
