We’ll have access to the ski center for the duration of the event. Please check in at the ski
center when you arrive. Do not check in at Blueberry Hill Inn as they will have guests who
aren’t involved with the race. Athletes who are participating in the 888k will be able to rest/sleep
inside the ski center. Please bring your own sleeping pad and sleeping bag. There are two
indoor bathrooms, two refrigerators, microwave, Wifi, and a large sitting area downstairs. The
upstairs is a large area where you'll be able to leave all of your supplies.
CAMPING
Blueberry Hill Inn has a camping area next to the ski center. The charge is a one time fee of
$12 (payable to The Endurance Society at the time of registration), regardless of how many
nights. You can pay when you arrive. This is not an actual campground but it's a gorgeous
place to pitch a tent and sleep. We will have a bonfire, portable toilets, and outdoor shower.
Moosalamoo Recreation Area also has a campground (2 miles away) and they charge $10 per
day. Silver Lake has free camping (5 miles away) and Branbury State Park has camping for
$10 per day.
PARKING
We have a simple parking plan. You'll park in the designated areas on both sides of the
Goshen/Ripton Road. The areas will have signage instruction you where to park. PLEASE
PARK CARS CLOSE TOGETHER, STARTING AS FAR FROM THE SKI CENTER AS
POSSIBLE! Please do not park in front of the Blueberry Hill Inn or in front of the Ski Center.
Please follow our parking plan as we will have 300 participants by Saturday and parking will be
tight. DO NOT PARK ON GOSHEN RIPTON ROAD.
TOILETS
We will have a few portable toilets outside of the ski center and we'll have two toilets inside the
ski center for 888k runners only. Please be respectful to Blueberry Hill and use the portable
toilets vs.their property. There is a toilet at Silver Lake and a toilet at Moosalamoo
Campground, aside from that you’ll have to go in the woods. We will have no toilets on the
course so pack your own toilet paper and/or wipes. Leave No Trace.
BIB NUMBERS
Please keep your numbers visible at all times, and help our volunteers as you come into the aid
station by making eye contact and yelling your number to the timers and helpers. 888k and 250
milers will mark their own times on the boards provided in the ski center after each loop.
COURSE MARKINGS
8k is marked with green signs. All other distances are marked with orange signage. The 88k
will do the marathon loop twice! The Marathon, 100, 250, and 888k will do a 7 mile and 20
mile loop. We have signs at all major intersections and we have heavy flagging at intersections.
On long stretches we’ve put up a few ribbons for reassurance.
AID STATIONS
The 8k will have no aid stations on the course. We'll have food for you at the finish. You will do
your 7 mile loop with no aid stations and then you'll be back at Blueberry Hill, the 20 mile loop
will have an aid station at mile 8 and another at mile 13.5. The aid station at Blueberry Hill will
have cookies, chips, gatorade, water, soda, PB & J and oranges. The main aid station will have
coffee in the mornings, warm food in the evenings, and broth at night. Carry extra food and
water with you!
WHAT TO CARRY
Everyone who is participating should carry water and a snack. Participants in longer distance
events should have a minimum of two water bottles when you leave each aid station. We also
recommend that you carry some bars or gels. Athletes doing the 88k, 100, 250, and 888k
should carry their light if they take off on a late afternoon loop and obviously at night you should
have your light and extra batteries. Check the weather and dress accordingly.
DROP BAGS
Athletes in should leave their drop bag at Blueberry Hill Ski Center. You'll be doing the 7 mile
loop and the 20 mile loop and you'll return to the ski center after each. Please carry a light if
you plan on walking a lot the first 30 miles.

RACE RULES
The majority of the course is on the National Forest Service property or in the Moosalamoo
National Recreation Area. Please be respectful and don't litter. No Whining. Anyone caught
whining will be disqualified. Don't cut the course. Anyone caught cutting the course will be
disqualified.
SAFETY
All athletes will be expected to wear their bib numbers at all times. Athletes should look out for
their own safety but also the safety of others. Please notify race staff if you see anything out of
the ordinary. Be sure to carry food, water, lights at night, and proper clothing. Temps can be in
the 40's at night in May and if it's raining that's perfect hypothermia weather. We'll use radios to
communicate and we'll have medical staff a phone call away in case of an emergency. We will
have First Responders on site for much of the race and aid station volunteers will track the
athletes. We will have a First Aid kit and blister kit at Blueberry Hill. Always stay on the trail.
WEATHER
Typically the highs are in the 60's that time of year and lows in the upper 30's or low 40's.
Please pay attention to the weather leading up to race day so that you bring the proper clothes.
Athletes participating in the 888k should be prepared for anything. We've had snow in May and
it could be 80 degrees in May. Be prepared as your race will last ten days.
DOGS
Everyone on our race staff and the owners of Blueberry Hill love dogs and don't want to ban
them but please be sure that your dog is under your control if you choose to bring him or her.
Please don't let your dogs into the ski center or the Inn. Thanks for your cooperation..
