Measurement & Time Abbreviations
 Measurement & Time words are very popular in English. Words such as
kilometres, miles, pounds, kilograms, centimetres and inches are often used to
explain how long, heavy or wide something is.
 Abbreviations are used a lot in English when referring to measurement and time.
An abbreviation is when a word is SHORTENED to make it easier/quicker to
write and read.

Who’s Next for North Korea?
The secretive one-party state of D: North Korea is in mourning after the death on Saturday of
