Because a bike represents freedom
Are you looking for a way to make a difference this holiday season?
Is your neighborhood awesome?
Become a Neighborhood Captain for Bikes For Tykes
What is this all about?
Mission: Unite neighbors both socially and philanthropically to Pay It
Forward over the Holidays and help make wishes come true.
Goal: Empower and inspire your neighborhood to collect bikes (gently
used or new) for boys and girls 2-17 year olds.
Charity: Realities for Children Charities - A 501c3 non-profit serving
children in Larimer County who have been neglected, abused or are at
risk.
Every
will be matched with a FREE HELMET
and each donation (tax deductible) will positively impact
a young person’s life!
Your responsibilities as a Neighborhood Captain:
Set a neighborhood goal for the number of bikes you want to collect.
Plan a collection event. You might want to make it a neighborhood holiday party with food, drinks, kids
activities, music, etc. If your neighborhood already holds a holiday party, this could be the perfect
addition. Or it could just be a simple plan for when and where bikes will be collected.
Coordinate neighborhood resources to deliver bikes. New bikes will need to be delivered to Realities
For Children storage onsite at First Presbyterian Church by December 15th. Used bikes will need to be
delivered to one of our partner bike shops by December 10th so there is time for safety checks before
distribution set-up on Dec. 16th.
Collect donor information (using provided form) as well as any checks written and get to Realities for
Children ASAP, this could happen when you drop off new bikes at the storage unit.
