DUES for 2017 are due NOW!
According to the York Area Rose
Society By-Laws, dues for the upcoming year
should be paid in October.
In order for you to be a member in
good standing, your dues must be paid by
December 31, 2016. After that date, your
name will be taken off the membership and
newsletter list. Any upcoming club
sponsored benefits, such as reduction of
fees, will not be honored.
Our next meeting will
be March 25, 2017.
Dues are $8 per person or $14 per
family. Checks should be made payable to:
York Area Rose Society. Checks should be
mailed to Membership Chair: Nancy
Redington, 347 Leedy Way East,
Chambersburg, PA 17202. Please make
sure that we have your correct email address
so that you will keep receiving the newsletter.

The minutes for September were approved.
Nancy Redington gave the financial report. We are still waiting for payment for a
returned check before we can finalize the profit for the 2016 mininational convention. It
was moved and approved to reimburse all fees paid by Sam and Nancy Jones for the
convention.
Usually the ARS pays for meals for the ARS meetings. However, YARS approved to
donate the meals to the ARS. After that deduction, then the ARS will get 40% of the
profit.
New tires were bought for the Johns’ trailer that is used hauling the YARS stuff around.
YARS is charged nothing for the trailer usage. This had been approved by the Board of
Directors.
The 2016 - 2017 officers were voted and installed.
YARS June show will be held on June 10, 2017, at the Carousel Building in Dover, PA.
The same theme as the 2017 national convention will be used.
Winter greens workshop will be canceled due to other commitments.
Next meeting will be held March 25, 201, at Jo’s house .
