A MESSAGE FROM THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Dear Highline Parents and Guardians,
The end of the school year is rapidly approaching, which means excitement, fun and summer plans! Our
last day of school is Friday, May 26; dismissal is at 12:00 PM on the last day. Before then, there are many
things happening here at Highline. Please be aware of communication coming home from your child’s
teacher regarding upcoming field trips and events happening in the classroom. Field day for K-2 is
Thursday, May 11 and May 12 for grades 3-5. Please contact Mr. Teppert is you would like to volunteer.
In addition, PTCO is hosting an End of Year Celebration on Friday, May 19. The event starts with an art
walk from 6:00-7:00 PM. At 7:30 PM, The movie Toy Story 3 will be playing outside on the grass. This is
a free event to attend; food from Kona Ice and Chivi’s Tacos will be available for purchase.
On a personal note, it is bittersweet to announce that my family and I are relocating to Texas this summer.
I truly have enjoyed getting to know the amazing students and family members at Highline. I will think
fondly of the relationships I have built while serving this community.
Together, we look forward to a fun, engaging and productive last month of school! Please do not hesitate

Estimadas familias de Highline,
El final del año escolar se acerca rápidamente, que significa emoción, diversión y planes para el verano!
Nuestro último día de escuela es el viernes, 26 de mayo, hora de salida será a las 12:00 del mediodía.
Antes de eso, hay muchas cosas pasando en el Highline. Por favor tenga comunicación con su estudiante
acerca de las que los niños llevan a casa información acerca de las próximas excursiones y eventos que
ocurren en el salón. Día de campo para K-2 es el jueves, 11 de mayo y 12 de mayo para los grados 3-5.
Póngase en contacto con que el Sr. Teppert maestro de Gym si le gustaría ser voluntario. Además, PTCO
está organizando una celebración de fin de año el viernes, 19 de mayo. El evento se inicia con un paseo de
arte de 6:00-7:00pm La película es Toy Story 3 y será a las 7:30 pm y se verá a fuera en el pasto. Este es
un evento gratuito pero habrá venta de nieve de Kona y Tacos de Chivi’s estarán disponibles a la venta.
En una nota personal, es difícil anunciar que mi familia y yo nos moveremos a Texas en verano. Realmente
he disfrutado en conocer a los estudiantes y miembros de la comunidad de Highline. Creo en la relación
que he construido al mismo tiempo de servir a esta comunidad. Juntos, miramos adelante a un divertido,
