Lumbago
Rheumatic pain in the lower muscles of the back.
Pain in mid and lower back due to muscular strain, rheumatoid arthritis,
osteoarthritis etc.
This is given as rubric under Back chapter in the repertory whereas under
Locomotor chapter in BR. But also in
CR - Head Pain -General alternating with pain in lumbar region, lumbago
KR - Head-Pain, alternating with lumbago
KR - Rectum - Hemorrhoids, alternating with lumbago
Lumbago
Lumbosacral
Relating to the lumbar vertebrae and the sacrum. It is also called sacrolumbar.
This is given as rubric under Back chapter in the repertory.
Lumbricoides
Denoting or resembling a earthworm (roundworm) , especially Ascaris
lumbricoides.
This is given as rubric in

Lumbosacral
Lump
Swelling or protuberance, usually one without regular shape caused by a blow or formed by a
tumor or cyst.
A large piece of something without definite shape.
This is given as rubric under various chapters in the repertory, e.g. Throat lump, plug sensation of; Stomach
lump sensation of; Rectum lump; Expectoration lumpy, lump like; Nose lump sensation of; Chest lump
sensation of; etc.
Lunula
A small, crescentic or moon shaped area or structure especially at the base of a fingernail that
resembles a half moon.
A semicircular mark, especially the white crescent-shaped area at the base of the fingernail.

Lupoid
Resembling lupus.
This is given as rubric in
BR - Skin - Verruca, lupoid

Lupus
Lupus is the term used to denote ulceration and erosion of the skin. It originally meant
any chronic, progressive ulcerating skin disease especially affecting face and hands.
Lupus vulgar: It is a cutaneous tuberculosis with characteristic nodular lesions on the face,
particularly
about the nose and ears. The disease often affects the face leading to disfigurement due to the
destructive
skin lesions.
Lupus erythematous: It means lesions are more confined to skin only.
Systemic lupus erythematous: A rheumatic auto-immune disease affecting skin and body
tissue.
Additionally, some people experience involvement of organs such as kidneys, lungs, or heart.
Symptoms
include skin rashes, abnormal sun sensitivity, and joint pain, inflammation, and stiffness. Lupus is
treatable,
but can be a very serious impairment.
Lupus exedens: It is an ulcerative cutaneous disease of the nose.

Luster means a glow of reflected light or bright and shiny condition or tone. Hence,
lusterless means lost of shine; faded; unpolished.

Luxation
To put out of joint or dislocate.
To displace the bone at a joint or lens of the eye.

Luxation
Lymphangioma
A fairly well circumscribed nodule or mass of lymphatic vessels. They
occur most frequently in the neck and axilla.
A lymph vessel tumor most commonly found in the neck as a cyst filled with
watery fluid.
It is a benign yellowish tan tumor of skin composed of a mass of dilated lymph
vessels.
Lymphangioma
