(8oz. each) of water per day
It is recommended that over the four weeks of the
challenge you introduce a new habit per week to help
you reach the goal of drinking 8 glasses per day.
The following are some examples of new habits that
you could introduce each week:
Week 1:
Drink a glass of water when you wake up and before
going to bed.
Week 2:
Continue the habit introduced in week 1 and drink a
glass of water before each meal.
The amount of water that your body needs to function
effectively is influenced by a number of factors such
as weather, level of physical activity, age, weight and
gender.
• Calculate the minimum amount of water you need
to drink per day based on your body weight using
the following formula:
Your weight ÷2 = oz. of water per day
• Based on this formula determine how many more
glasses of water you should be drinking and set
your goal for the challenge.
Week 3:
Continue the habits introduced in week 1 & 2 and
drink 1 glass of water between breakfast and lunch
and 1 glass between lunch and dinner.
Week 4:
Continue the habits introduced in weeks 1, 2 & 3
and add one additional glass any time during the
day when you are thirsty or connected to a daily
activity.
