Blow your mighty wind into the hollow chambers of our
hearts, that we may never settle for death but rise again as
your beloved people.
(Pause for silent confession)
Leader: God, holy Breath,
All:
restore us.
Leader: But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with
reverence, serve you, once more. Our whole selves waited for
you, O Lord, and you answered us. In you there is unfailing
love and full redemption. You redeem us from all our sins.
Amen.

CONFESSION/ASSURANCE
Leader: God, we confess that when we look into the valleys of our
lives, we are tempted to fix our gaze on the remnants of our past. We
see the dry bones, and we doubt in our minds—“Will these bones
ever live?”
People: But in the midst of our doubt, we proclaim that you
are the life-giving Spirit. You breathe new life into all that
is dead.
Reader 1: For you, O God, raised up the dry bones in the valley.
Reader 2: Your Son, Jesus, brought Lazarus out from the tomb,
Reader 3: and your Spirit lifted anew the hearts of the disciples.
Leader: Teach us, O Lord, to wait for your breath.

BLOSSOM HILL CALENDAR AND NEWS
 Congratulations to Pastor Mindy, Jared, Willow and Moselle on the birth of
Cyrus Reed Nolt Hankee on Tuesday. He weighs in at 6lbs 15oz and is 21”
long!
 Maundy Thursday Meal - April 13th -We need 9 crockpots of soup for the
Maundy Thursday evening meal. This is supposed to be a simple meal but the
deliciousness of the variety of soups makes it hard to not taste them all. In other words, we eat good! If you have never participated in this meal/simple service, it's a lovely time of quiet fellowship and reflection. Anyone may sign up to
bring soup. It doesn't have to be a complicated recipe. Simple is good. Check
for the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. Thanks for your help.
 Vacation Bible School - July 10-13, 6pm-8pm Theme “Digging for Treasure”
 Scholarship fund -It is time again to consider scholarships for Mennonite Education. We offer scholarships through the congregation for students who attend Mennonite school, from elementary through college studies. If you would
like to apply for a scholarship for your children, please request an application
and return it to Karen Shenk by April 30. Our scholarship fund is outside of the
regular budget. We determine scholarships based on how much is in the fund at
the time. If you would like to contribute to this fund for the 2017-18 school
year, please place your contribution in the offering (with a note for the
"scholarship fund") or send it separately to the church office, noting that it is
for the scholarship fund. If you have questions, please contact Marsha or Karen
Shenk.
 Sign-up opportunities to help Ochalla and Achan and their family - There
are many opportunities to help out and get to know them. See the link in the
newsletter to sign up or if you have questions, ask Bruce at [email protected], 606-7585, or talk to anyone on the Welcome Team. We will
provide insight, encourage you, and point you in the right direction!
 Sing traditional hymns at the 12th annual Harmonies Sing TONIGHT at
6:30 p.m., at Blossom Hill Mennonite Church.
 Mowing – We need more women and men to join the BHMC mowing
team. The commitment is modest: you and a partner will share the responsibility for mowing, trimming, and blowing grass clippings from sidewalks a
total of 3-4 times throughout the year. If you are willing and able to join the
team, please call/text/email Jeff Nolt (717-224-3695; [email protected]).
Volunteers from last year will be put on the list again this year unless we
hear otherwise. We want to have a schedule pulled together by early April.
