Founded in May, 2002 as merger of four state regional companies responsible for distributing and sales of electric power. In 2005, the company Inter RAO UES became the beneficiary of 100% shares of ENA CJSC. The Company owns distribution electric networks 0,4 – 110 kV. The Company is the biggest employer of the Country (about 8 000 employees). The Company is one of the biggest tax-payers in Armenia (the 8-th). The tariffs is both and electric power purchase and supply are regulated by Public Services Regulatory Commission. Operates in line with the RAB regulation method (Regulatory Accept Base) under the license of the Company. The RAB regulation method is based on setting the tariff margin equal to the total of operating expenses, rate of return of the capital and return on net investment. ЭНЕРГИЯ БЕЗ ГРАНИЦ 14 THE BIGGEST INVESTMENT PROJECTS Rehabilitation of 17 substations 110 kV financed by the loan given by JBIC; Rehabilitation of relay protection and automatics of 17 substations 110 kV; “Tsitsernakaberd” substation construction; Replacement of the cells with oil switches by cells with vacuum switches and micropocessor-based relay protection (1394 ps.) in 35-110kV substations and distribution points of the Company. 15 ЭНЕРГИЯ БЕЗ ГРАНИЦ PERSPECTIVE INVESTMENT PROJECTS Construction of cable tunnel from “Thithernakaberd” substation to the center of Yerevan, construction of 5 distribution points, cable lines laying and construction of 19 transforming stations 6/0,4 kV for “Tsitsernakaberd” 110/6 kV substation power allocation for the new constructing units in the center of the city; Large-scale reconstruction of the 0,4-10 kV distribution network in the regions of the country for the improvement of the power supply quality; Complete shift of the old meters (shift of the inductive meters with the electronic ones – 700 thousand ps.) and enlargement of ASCEE in 0,4 kV networks in the territories with great number of losses; Telemetry and telemechanics system implementation (SCADA type) in 110-35 kV substations. 16 ЭНЕРГИЯ БЕЗ ГРАНИЦ ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION The projects on the development of normative documents on measures to eliminate adverse environmental impacts with the the Ministry of Ecology of RA; Permission to use three underground water well is takes from Water Resources Regulatory Agency of RA; Passports on hazardous waste are developed and approved; Examination on the impact of the environment during construction work is made; The program on step-by-step roof replacement is being put into practice (81 thousand m2 has been replaced). The projects include: Own programs, Partnership programs with local, regional and state bodies, as well as non-commercial organizations. Such programs encompass assistance to orphanages, churches, old people’s homes, county agencies, etc. The Company regularly contributes to the development of social and humanitarian spheres, science, culture, health, local institutions, etc. The Company regularly contributes towards the development of social and humanitarian fields, science, culture, public health, sport and education. 2005-2011 the Company spent $ 5,7 mln. on charity.
