Participants will work with CREATIVE Dance Artist Louise Marshall,
plus guest tutors, to create a high-energy dance piece to be
performed on the Friday evening. The week will incorporate taster
sessions in a variety of styles and techniques, and participants will be
encouraged to develop their own devising and choreographic skills.

Always wanted to know more about how props and set are made for theatre?
Come along to this workshop to see how the magic is made with our CREATIVE team.
You will assist the team as they build the props and creations required for
CREATIVE’s events at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival. Roll up your sleeves and
wear old clothes - this could get messy!
Eden Court Young Dance Company AUDITION
SAT 24 AUG I 11 - 19 YRS I 10.00 - 11.30 I STUDIO 2
Open to young people who will be 11-19 yrs by Sat 12 Jul 2014.
We are looking for committed young dancers to join the company for 2013/14. The company will be
working towards the Scottish Destinations platform, with the aim of being selected to perform as
part of the Commonwealth Games Youth Dance festival in July 2014.
The company also participate in the Connections weekend in November, working with tutors and
choreographers from across Scotland, as well as performing at Spring Into Eden in March. Company
members will be working on technique, style and performance skills as well as devising and choreography.
We are looking for talent and potential. A background in any dance style or technique is welcomed.

SUMMER DIGI WORKSHOP INTRODUCTION TO FILMMAKING
MON 22–FRI 26 JUL I 13.00 - 16.00 I DIGI ROOM I 13–17 YRS I £68.60 FOR THE WEEK
Over five days you will receive a complete introduction to short film making, and make your own three
minute documentary film. You will learn loads of new skills through a series of fun, practical activities,
and get hands on experience of every stage of the process, from brainstorming, interviewing, shooting,
directing, and finally editing, all while making your own short doc. You will be supplied with Canon HF100
cameras to shoot, and MacBooks with Final Cut Pro to edit. No film making experience necessary.

CoderDojo Scotland is a free coding club for young people to learn everything you need to know to become
a great coder! At CoderDojo you can learn to build your own apps, games, and websites. It makes learning

Glen Campbell. You’ll take control of your camera with this informative and inspiring class. Classes

your own camera if you have one.

SUMMER DIGI WORKSHOP MAKE A SHORT DOCUMENTARY IN A WEEK

Over five days you will receive a complete introduction to documentary making, and make your own three
minute, non-fiction film. The course offers training and hands on experience of every stage of the doc making
process, from conceptualising, through researching, interviewing, shooting, directing, and finally editing.
At the end of it all, the film will be screened at the Saturday night session of the Loch Ness Film Festival.
Participants will be supplied with a Canon 60d and Canon HF100 cameras to shoot, and Macbooks with Final
Cut Pro to edit. No film making experience necessary.

Be dazzled by our young performers as they present a showcase of
musical numbers, monologues and extracts from some of the most
entertaining shows ever! Starring members of Eden Court
CREATIVE’s Musical Theatre and LAMDA Acting classes. The evening
will culminate in the presentation of LAMDA students’ qualification
certificates and awards.
Special Events
RAPUNZEL AUDITION
balletLORENT is bringing its fabulous production of Rapunzel to Eden Court on
the Fri 11 & Sat 12 Oct and the company is looking for ten young dancers
(boys and girls) to take part. If you are aged between 8-16 years and love to
dance then balletLORENT wants to hear from you!
You do not need to be a trained dancer but should be confident to perform
onstage alongside the professional cast and enthusiastic about taking part.
You need to be available from Thu 10–Sat 12 Oct and also for rehearsals that
are likely to take place over one weekend during the last 2 weeks in September
(exact dates and times to be confirmed).
Auditions will be held on Sat 24 Aug from 10.00 at Eden Court and if you are
successful, you will be invited back for a rehearsal session the following day.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE WORKSHOPS WITH JAMES PETT

A fantastic one-off opportunity to take class with James who is a professional dancer
who started his career at Eden Court on the SQA Higher Dance course. James will lead
a Cunningham based class with a twist, followed by sequences inspired by Alston's
choreography. There will time to talk to James to ask questions about his training and career.
