ourselves in making your child’s learning journey a detailed, exciting
document for you to take with you when your child leaves our
setting, as you can imagine this takes time and we want to spend as

Morning arrival time & Collection time
Parents are kindly asked if all children would arrive at the nursery promptly by 9.15am
at the latest for Toddler One and Two children and 9.00am at the latest for PreSchool children as we have circle time where all the children sit in a circle, a register is
taken and the activities begin. If you are late, there may be a wait at the door as the
staff are with the children so please be patient. It’s nice for the children to be at the
nursery at the start of the sessions.
The doors for the nursery will open at 4:30pm and 6pm respectively. If you do need to
collect your child early, please could you call the nursery in advance so that we can
make sure your child is ready for collection.
Change in weather and clothing
The weather in the UK is unpredictable; please ensure your child is dressed
appropriately for all the weather as we do take the children out for walks and outdoors
on a daily basis. Please also ensure spare clothes have been brought in for your child in
case we do need to change them if they get wet or dirty and also indoor shoes as well if
you haven’t already done so.
Car Parking – print your permit
Parking in the Churchyard is for authorised personnel only, holding a valid permit.
Please refrain from parking or turning your car in the churchyard as this is private
property owned by the Church. From time to time the Church will lock their gates so
please leave access leading up to gates clear for emergency vehicles.
Merton Council have informed enforcement officers that if parents are dropping
off/collecting children from Oak Tree Pre-school Nursery and parked in the allocated
pay & display parking bays in the adjacent streets, they will be given a 10
minutes grace period if and only if, parents clearly display the permit available on the
website at www.oaktree4kids.co.uk under the current parents tab. If you have made an
appointment to see the Nursery staff and it will take longer than 10 minutes, please
play the associated parking fee. Please make sure it is clearly visible on the
dashboard.
