Female Chorus: All Female chorus will be Nuns. The parts marked with an asterisk will double up and have these additional small cameo roles as well as being a nun.
We are looking for a total of 12 Nuns as female chorus. We will have to audition for the Nuns as movement, dance and variety is as important as the singing.

The oldest nun – hard of hearing. Pianist for the Nuns choir. Has a few speaking lines with a sense
of humour. Part of the 12 chorus nuns.
Has a few speaking lines. Part of the 12 chorus nuns.
All shapes, sizes and ages. One of the key successes to this show is timing and choreography and
movement will be very important. There will be quite a number of Thursdays throughout the
rehearsal schedule that will be additional to Tuesdays. Think of being a Nun as a principal role as
there are no less than 10 chorus numbers for the Nuns.
A line or two in Act 1 scene 4.
A nice cameo role in Act 1 scene 10 with a few lines
Act 1 scene 10 – Bar scene, who are shocked to see Nuns in the bar.
Great number and backing to Officer Southers’ big number. Must be good with Velcro!
Deloris fantasy backers and dancers – very glam and sequinned – maybe behind a gauze to give the
effect that Deloris is daydreaming.

Male Chorus: There is not a lot of chorus work for men. However we do need between 6 – 8 men who would be happy with just a few rehearsals. You would not be
required every Tuesday and we will give you set dates when we would like you to come for rehearsals. Therefore if you feel like you need a break but still want to be
part of the show then we definitely have something here for you. In most cases, each man would take at least 2, 3 or 4 of the parts below which are all small but vital
to the success of the show.
Ernie x 1
Cops x 2
Bar Patron x 5
Homeless People x 6
Drag Queen x 1
Cab Driver x 1

Act 1 scene 10 – Bar scene, who are shocked to see Nuns in the bar and also a couple playing pool in
the bar (or holding cues)
Great number and backing to Officer Southers big number. Must be good with Velcro!
Mistaken by Curtis gang as Deloris. Should be able to wear high heels! Two scenes, one line. Will get
great applause.
Small cameo role. He is threatened by Curtis.
Great part. Non speaking. Just waves and nods and feels very important as all the nuns put on a
show for him.
This may just be a taped voice off stage or speaking off stage. Must sound like a news reporter.
Need to be fairly fit as you will be part of the scenery movers and need to carry on a large “target
board”. Some singing and dancing too.
Deloris fantasy backers and dancers – very glam and sequinned – maybe behind a gauze to give the
effect that Deloris is daydreaming.
