AN ACT to amend the Reciprocal Enforcement of
Maintenance Orders Act, 1921.
[Assented to 19th September, 1958.]
RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative
Assembly of Western Australia, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the
same, as follows:—
Short title
and citation.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Reciprocal
Enforcement of Maintenance Orders Act Amendment Act, 1958.
(2) In this Act the Reciprocal Enforcement of
Maintenance Orders Act, 1921,
Act No. 27 of 1921 as amended by Acts Nos. 29
of 1923 and 7 of 1936,
is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may
be cited as the Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders Act, 1921-1958.
2. The long title of the principal Act is amended laj=it
by adding after the word, "Dominions" where
secondly appearing, the words, "and in other
Countries".
3. Section two of the principal Act is amended amended.
by adding
(a) after the word, "Kingdom," in line two of
the definition of "Governing Officer", the
passage, "and as regards other countries,
the Head or";
(b) after the word, "Territory" in line five of
the definition of "Reciprocating jurisdiction", the words, "and any other country";
and
(c) after the word, "territory" in line five of the
definition of "Superior Court", the words,
"or in any other country".
4. Section three of the principal Act is amended amended.
by adding
(a) after the word, "Dominions" in line three
of subsection (1), the words, "or in any
other country"; and
(b) after the word, "Dominions" in line six of
subsection (1), the words, "or that country".

5. Section four of the principal Act is amended amended.
by adding—
(a) after the word, "Dominions" in line five,
the words, "or in any other country"; and
(b) after the word, "Dominions" in line eight,
the words, "or that country."

6. Section five of the principal Act is amended
by adding
(a) after the word, "Dominions" in line four
of subsection (1), the words, "or in any
other country";
(b) after the word, "Dominions" in line twelve
of subsection (1), the words, "or in that
country"; and
(c) after the word, "Dominions" in line three
of subsection (3), the words, "or other
country".

by adding after the word, "Dominions" in line two
of subsection (1), the words, "or in any other
country".

(f) a subsection as follows
(7) The Governor may by Order in
Council extend this Act to any other
country with such modification (if any)
as the Governor may by the same or any
other Order in Council declare.
