Adam Oates Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame
Since learning he was chosen for induction to
the Hockey Hall of Fame last summer, Caps
coach Adam Oates has had a lot on his mind.
He was named Washington's bench boss that
very same day, and for the last few months
his head has been filled with thoughts of line
combinations, power-play alignments and
other responsibilities related to his first NHL
bench boss opportunity.
As you might imagine, Oates has also spent a
decent amount of time thinking about what he
was going to say in his Hall induction speech.
Last Monday - exactly a week before his
induction ceremony - Oates gave a bit of a preview into his speech. To read more about Oates' speech
click here. To watch Oates' Hall of Fame induction speech click here.

Movember
Each year the Mo (slang for moustache) and November come together for Movember, an annual charity
event that engages men to grow, and women to support, a Mo for the 30 days of November. The
Washington Capitals and the NHL are supporting Movember this month and invite all Caps fans – both
male and female – to participate.
Join the Washington Capitals team by registering here with a clean-shaven face. Men grow their Mos for
30 days, becoming walking, talking billboards for men’s health and cancer affecting men. Supporters,
called Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, get friends, family and colleagues to donate to their efforts along the way.
In the U.S., Movember’s men’s health partners are the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.
Last year alone Movember had nearly 854,000 supporters worldwide, raising $126 million to change the
face of men’s health. Click here to learn about other ways to help support Movember.
