February Minutes
 Accept Dec. minutes because a meeting in Jan. did not happen due to way
to much snow
 Meet info New info had been sent in regards to fur fin feather meet times,
pretty sure we all made it there fine. Spring fling info Sat. gold/silver 4 p.m.
and Sunday level 2 9 a.m. level 3&4 12:30. Boys State Meet Sunday March
15th here at Andy Valley. I hope all those that are able have or will help in
some way with the boys state meet, a sign-up sheet has been passed
around for a couple weeks now lots of opportunity to get your volunteer
time counted! Boys state meet times - Level 4 - 9 a.m. this will be
unsanctioned - Level 5 and up – 11 a.m. Good Luck Boys !!!! Go Andy
Valley!!!
 Team Photos thats right its finally happening  When March 20th here at
the gym I believe we will start picture fun around 4p.m. with the boys and
progress as needed to get any and all team gymnasts pictures complete.
There is also an email about the pictures and info on the board.
 Budget- Checking $ 2,068 – Savings $7,809 – Individual Accounts $2,249 –
settlement $6,077 – AVGPA Bal. $1,340 – Balance with outstanding debt
owed $2,063- That is a difference of $723 dollars. If you have an
outstanding balance due please get yourself caught up. Next year Rod
may begin to implement a new idea where he will have a team fee due at
the beginning of the season. This extra fee will be served to cover things
like flowers, trophies, and the banquet. These are a few of the “perks” you
get for being a part of AVGPA along with the ability to raise money for your
individual child. If you choose to be a part of AVGPA this team fee would
be waived. Being a part of AVGPA is a choice, if you choose to be a part of
it please be as involved as you can, if you do not choose to be a part of it
we are all still one big unified happy Andy Valley team that is awesome
 Flowers We discussed who would be in charge of flowers and ideas where
to get the flowers. As most of you may have seen in the past week there is
now extensive debate on where to go and we are slightly unclear on who is
doing what. Sara researched a ton of information for us and got quite a
few different numbers and arrangement ideas. Jen did some good leg work
figuring out the trader joes idea and has volunteered to get the flowers if
they are coming from TJ’s and bring them to the gym Friday before states.
Renee has contacted Val’s which is where the flowers came from last year
and they would give us the same price as last year. Lots of ideas and
helpers but nothing solid yet. We will square this away by the next meeting
and should have it figured out. This also brought up the fact that boys do
not get flowers at states such as the girls do and that it is not fair. I believe
we all agree that it is not fair but what we can’t agree on is something that
is fair. At the next meeting we plan to seriously discuss this so please come
with lots of ideas and viewpoints.
 Fundraising Last and certainly not least, because this is what helps us all,
fundraising. The only fundraiser currently happening is the program for the
boys state meet. This idea was very successful so thank you all who worked
hard on it! We will discuss what to do with the proceeds at the next
meeting. Pizza Hut is a possibility on April 23rd more info at next meeting.
A few new ideas were discussed YAY! Amazon site, script, and a
cartwheelathon! These are all awesome ideas and all those present agreed
we should look into these more. We have people gathering more
information as to how it works and what we need to do to set it up, more
info at the next meeting. Also, there is no movie booklet fundraiser.
Next meeting March 27th be there or be square!
