(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2012
The Clackmannanshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 14(1) and (4)
as read with Section 2(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other
enabling powers, being satisfied that the traffic on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this
Order should be restricted or prohibited as hereinafter provided because works are being or are
proposed to be executed on or near the said lengths, hereby make the following Order:(1)
This Order may be cited as "The Clackmannanshire Council (A91 Dollar to Muckhart)
(Temporary Speed Restriction) Order 2012" and shall come into operation at 0730 hours on
30th July 2012 for a period of three weeks or until completion of the works, whichever is
sooner.
(2)
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the
interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
(3)
No person shall use, or permit the use of, any vehicle on each length of road specified in the
Schedule, during the period specified in Article 1, at a speed exceeding 30mph when a
restriction is identified as applying to a part or parts of that length of road by means of an
appropriate traffic sign.
(4)
The restriction imposed by this Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any
restriction or requirement imposed by any regulations made or having effect as if made under
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or by or under any other enactment.

Statement of Reasons for Making the Order
The order is required because works are being carried out on the A91 Dollar to Muckhart, but will only have
effect in relation to such part or parts of the lengths of road as are indicated by the appropriate traffic signs and
during the periods corresponding to those lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

The Clackmannanshire Council has made the above named Order Section 14(1) and (4) as read with
Section 2(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 19th July 2012.
The effect of this Order shall be to temporarily restrict the speed of vehicles to 30 mph on the lengths
of road identified in the Schedule to this Notice during the period from 0730 hours on 30th July 2012
for a period of three weeks, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. The temporary
speed restriction is considered necessary because works are being carried out on the A91 Dollar to
Muckhart, but will only have effect in relation to such part of parts of the lengths of road as are
indicated by the appropriate traffic signs and during the periods corresponding to those lengths of
road specified in the Schedule to this notice.
