children for PK. Sharing research-based activities that parents can repeat at home helps build a
solid early learning foundation in a fun, exciting

learning. These are all pieces of the puzzle that
are key to future academic success for our early
learners.

A Family Support Service
Early literacy clubs, known by different names at
each school where the service is provided, offer
wonderful early learning opportunities for the
parent and child.
Most clubs carry the name of the campus mascot
in variation such as the Little Hornets which is the
mascot for Haynes Elementary School.
No matter which campus
location you and your child
select to participate, there are
fun-filled learning experiences
awaiting you.
One of the first questions we
get from parents is; “How
much does it cost?” We are
always happy to say, “There is no charge.” We
want your time and commitment as KISD invests
in the future success of all our children.
