At Greater Pittsburgh Police FCU, we are always looking to find new and better ways to serve you, our member. Starting January 1, 2015, we will be
providing our members with a special overdraft program called "Courtesy Pay/Overdraft Protection" for your share draft (checking) account. Overdraft
Protection will provide you a cushion that may allow you to overdraft your account up to a specified limit assigned by us. By covering your overdraft, this
will eliminate the extra expense and embarrassment of having a check returned.
Overdraft Protection is a non-contractual program. You will be assigned an overdraft limit by Greater Pittsburgh Police FCU, and your overdrafts, which
include share draft and ACH transactions, will be covered up to that limit. If your account becomes negative, you must return your share draft account to
a positive balance within thirty(30) days. Each transaction that we honor will result in a $35 charge. Greater Pittsburgh Police FCU will send you notification each time your account is overdrawn, and you will also receive periodic reminders if your account is not returned to good standing.
Your Overdraft Protection limit will not be available to you at the ATM or for Point-of-Sale purchases. (You may opt in to allowing one-time Debit or ATM
transactions by contacting us at 412-922-4800 to complete the opt in notice at the credit union office).
