Today is Monday, August 31st and an A day
We hope all of our students and staff had an amazing weekend. We look
forward to starting the week off focused and determined. We look forward
to building on our successes of the past to create a brighter future.
Want to win a chance to win a pair of tickets to an upcoming concert of one
of the top artist today? Breakfast Concert Promotion is offering a contest
with all Rockwood School district middle schools. Each middle school will
have one grand prize winner. To be able to participate you have to be 13
years old.
There are three ways to enter the contest
1. Purchase a breakfast in the cafeteria during the promotional period
2. Online survey- Scan the QR Code found on the promotional calendar
in the cafeteria.
3. Website- visit www.k12-promo.com/RSDMO and complete the
website entry form and its entirety.
Be advised you can only receive one entry a day for this contest
The contest runs until 6pm September 11th.

This is the Last week to order your WMS spirit wear students and staff so
place your order before it’s too late.
There will be bus passes for after school activities issued this week. if you
are needing to ride the bus home with another student on one of our ½ days
or during the week, both you and your friend MUST have a note turned into
the main office from your parents giving permission the DAY BEFORE you
are planning to ride another bus.
Lunch Prices – Breakfast $1.60; Regular lunch $2.60; Super lunch $2.90.
Students must choose at least 3 items including a fruit or vegetable to
receive a complete lunch.
Our friends from Kona Ice will be here again on September 9th next
Wednesday during lunches. Please plan to bring cash with you on this date.
Also Smoothies will be available for sale in cafeteria this coming Friday.
Remember students that if you would like to share with a friend cups and
straws are available.
The school store is up and running Monday –Friday during lunches. So make
sure you stop by to purchase something or just to see what cool new items
we have this year.
Be a leader and the student voice for your class! Join Student Council and
join the fun as we plan activities for our school. Student Council applications
are available in the front office from Mrs. Durst." Deadline to submit
application is September 3rd, by 3:00 pm. Questions? Ask Mrs. Sellenriek

August’s Character Word: While the month of August is not dedicated to a
character word, as your teachers spend the next few weeks reviewing their
classroom and our building expectations, we ask our students to consider
how they will create a culture at WMS where they take care of themselves,
each other, our school and our world!
