Damas Memorial Scholarship -- Max Blydenburgh Nage L. Damas was a member of the graduating class of 1969. He was an outstanding scholar athlete who played football and wrestled, but wresting was his passion. Nage Placed 3rd in State in wrestling his senior year. He went on to the United States Military Academy at West Point where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in math and engineering. He was captain of the wrestling team at West Point and his love for wrestling took him all the way to the Olympic trials. Mr. Damas passed away in May 2015 and a memorial fund was set up in his honor to be awarded to an outstanding student athlete, preferably a wrestler.
