I’d like to welcome all of our new and returning students and their families to Marlatt Elementary
as we begin a new school year. Please consider the many volunteer opportunities for you through the
PTO and classroom teachers. We are very excited to start a new school year and are looking
forward to seeing all of you in August!

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION - Registration for the 2016-2017 school year is online. Paper
enrollment packets will not be used. Please go to the Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 District website,
www.usd383.org and follow instructions for online enrollment. After completing online enrollment,
fees/ meal accounts will still need to be paid. Please attend Central Enrollment on Friday, July 29 from 7 AM
to 7 PM at Manhattan High School West Campus to pay fees, talk to bussing, nurses, etc. If you cannot attend
Central Enrollment, you can either mail enrollment fees to Marlatt or stop by school beginning August 1st.

OFFICE HOURS - Regular office hours will resume on Monday, August 1st 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
BACK-TO-SCHOOL NIGHT - Monday, August 15, 2016, 5:00 PM- 6:00 PM
Come meet your teacher, see your classroom, and drop off your school supplies! If you pre-ordered the box
of school supplies from the PTO in the spring, they will be available for pick up that night.
~Classroom rosters will be posted on Monday, August 15 at 4:00 PM in the lobby window~
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - Tuesday, August 16; 8:40 AM-11:55 AM (Half Day)
-Breakfast will be served at 8:10 to 8:30 AM, but there will be NO lunch that day.
SCHOOL HOURS for 2016-2017 have changed a bit. Regular school day time is 8:40-3:50
-Students should arrive no earlier than 8:10 AM unless enrolled in Boys and Girls Club.
-Breakfast is served daily from 8:10 - 8:30 AM daily.
REMINDER FOR PARENTS OF KINDERGARTNERS AND NEW STUDENTS - On or before the first
day of school, the following records must be seen by the office staff (we will keep a copy for our files):
-Original state certified Birth Certificate or other form of approved proof of identification
-Immunization record or evidence that immunizations have been started
-Physical examination sheet for all kindergarten students and students, ages 5-8, who are
enrolling in a Kansas school for the first time. (Needed within 90 days of entry into school.)
-Verification of residency within the Marlatt attendance area, if requested.
