WEBBERS EARLY STARS
NINETEEN NEW STANDARDS
At the May 7 BAC Invitationl, MCSC swimmers brought in
nineteen new time standards, including two new Gold times for
Vinny Marciano in the 15&O age group. Also with new Gold
were Noah Getahoun in the M11-12 50 Back, Cesar Maxwell
M10&U 100 Breast and Molly Webber in the W11-12 200
Back. Sean Giordano grabbed two Zone cuts. Jack Pfeil led
the new Silver haul with three, With two new Silvers each were
TJ Martynowicz, Maxwell and Shelton Shieh. Also with new
Silvers were Madi Molinaro and Sterling Shieh.
Early in the 2016 MCSC long course season, Maddie Cantrell,
Sean Giordano, Cesar Maxwell and the Webber girls were stars
of the BAC G/S Spring Invitational at the new Berkeley long
course pool held May 7, 2016. Eighteen MCSC athletes swam
to four personal records each, so there are many stars to go
around. Cantrell slashed 49 seconds off her previous LC
W15&O 200IM. Giordano picked up two Zone qualifying swims,
in the M11-12 100 & 200 Fly's. Maxwell, in his first LC
competition, swam to a Gold and two new Silvers in the M10&U
events. While all three Webbers swam to four personal records
each, Cora Webber cut 45 seconds off in her LC W10&U 200IM.
The MCSC swam to 93 new or best times at the meet, with club
recods set by Emily Wang and Vinny Marciano.
