Game
Changing Campsites
Materials needed:
Chairs
Paper to write your camping words
Tape
Instructions
1. Arrange chairs in a circle. There should be enough chairs for
everyone in the group but one person (for example, if you have
10 people there should be 9 chairs).
2. Tape your camping words on the backrest of each chair. There
should be at least two of every word (the larger the group, the
more times a single word will repeat).
3. One person stands in the middle and calls out one of the words.
Every person who is sitting on a chair with that word has to get
up and switch chairs. The person in the middle will try to get to
a chair before the others. The person who does not find a chair
will now be in the middle. The rules will repeat with the new
person in the middle.
4. If someone yells Sasquatch, everyone must get up and switch
chairs.
5. There is no end to the game. You can stop playing whenever the
group feels like stopping.

Skit to end the Meeting
Have the scouts sit on the floor as if they are at a campfire
Sasquatch Chase
Two Scouts wearing boots are sitting around the campfire ring
Scout 1: (turns quickly as if he heard something, then bends over and
starts to put on his tennis shoes)
Scout 2: What are you doing?
Scout 1: I am putting on my tennis shoes.
Scout 2: I can see that, why are you putting on your tennis shoes?
Scout 1: Sasquatch is coming into camp.
Scout 2: How will tennis shoes help. You can’t outrun a Sasquatch, even
in tennis shoes!
Scout 1: I know I can’t outrun Sasquatch, but I don’t have to. I just have
to outrun you! So I can get my photo with Sasquatch first. (takes off
running).
