Mr. Ron Wenkart has been a “Friend to
CASCWA” for decades! This editor had
the good fortune of working in Orange
County and considers Mr. Wenkart as a
true educational hero. Mr. Wenkart’s
presentation was detailed and targeted
acceptable use policies, student
monitoring, student searches, student
discipline and additional resources. Mr.
Wenkart always takes a position that
puts educators on firm ground.
CASCWA is indebted to Mr. Wenkart.
Ms. Ashlie Bryant is a special human being. The topic of “Human Trafficking” is a
terrible topic for our youth. After listening to her presentation, this editor firmly
believes that every educator, parent, student, community member & civic leader in the
United States of America would benefit from Ms. Bryant’s presentation. She the founder
of 3Strands Global & they have teamed up with Frederick Douglas Family Initiatives &
L ve Never Fails to make a difference in the lives of exploited youths. Ms. Bryant’s
life work has true meaning for today’s youth and she is to be commended for delivering
this message throughout the State of California. Make certain you visit their website!
Mr. Joe Eberstein’s presentation, “The Evolving
Drug Landscape – ONLINE” was in-depth and
thought provoking! Joe is an exceptional
speaker. His background and his expertise
delivered significant information to all of the
workshop attendees. Mr. Eberstein is also to
be commended for his work on the SARB
Board of the Grossmount Union High School
District (State Model SARB Award recipient.)
Joe’s presentation was comprehensive,
focusing primarily on marijuana use and he
listed several action items that can be done to
combat this drug crisis and internet misuse.
Unbelievable! Mr. Garcia’s knowledge of
the internet and social media is
astonishing! His presentation covered
aspects of the internet that every
educator and parent need to know.
Salvador then showed our attendees an
unbelievable number of social media
sites that student’s use and many of us
didn’t know even existed. His
presentation confirmed the fact that the
internet can be friend or foe! Thank you
Salvador for an in depth presentation!
