1 What.
More and more hotels use social network sites such as facebook to promote the
hotel online and communicate with customers.
For this reason Planet wInner has developed a Facebook application that
integrates the wInner Booking Engine.
Hotels that are present on Facebook and that use the wInner Booking engine can now
integrate the Booking Engine with the hotel’s facebook page.
This way guests can make realtime online reservations via the facebook page of the hotel.
Facebook becomes a revenue generating tool.
2 Before you start.
Before you start ensure that you have:

A Facebook account.

In your Facebook account, a page for the Hotel. You must create a Facebook page
since this is the only way to make the Facebook App visible to your connections and
visitors.

A wInner Webhotel subscription for version 2011. If you do not have a wInner
webhotel subscription, please contact us for a proposal.

Your Customer Name code for wInner Webhotel.
This is the Customer Name code you use when logging into wInner Webhotel. If you
are not sure about your Customer Code, please contact the Planet wInner Helpdesk.

3 How ?
How do you integrate the Booking Engine app into your Facebook account:
Step 1
1. Log into your Facebook account.

1. Open a new TAB in your browser.
2. Enter the URL for the Facebook App in the address field.
The URL is: https://apps.facebook.com/web_hotel
NOTE: When you visit the Facebook App the first time, you will need to Authorise the
App. If you do not authorise the App, the application will not work.
Step 3
You will now see the screen from the wInner Booking Enige that requests you to add
the app to 1 or more Facebook Pages.
NOTE: This page contains secure contact. If your browser asks you to display
secure contact, accept to display secure content.
1. Click on the link Click Here to add the wInner Booking Engine to your Facebook
page.
2. In the next screen, select the page(s) where you want to add the Booking Engine.

3. When done, click on the button Add Page Tab

The wInner Webhotel App is now added to your Facebook page and appears as Book
Online
1. Next go to your facebook page. You will now see the Book Online App on your page.
Click the Book Online application.

Since this is the first time that you use the application, you will need to provide your
customer code. By doing so the Booking engine will register your customer code against
your Facebook Page code. This way when you Facebook page is shown, the correct
Booking Engine will be generated. Please refer to “Before you Start” section earlier in
this document.
1. Enter you customer code in the designated field click Send

Step 7 – Final step.
The Booking Engine has now been activated on your Facebook Page. If you go to your page
and click the Book Now link, the booking engine will appear inside the Facebook Page.

4 Look and feel of the Facebook Booking engine.
As you will notice, the Facebook Booking Engine is less wide than the normal Booking
Engine. This is because the space allocated by Facebook for apps is limited.
For this reason and in order not to compromise existing look and feel of the Booking Engine
used on your website Planet wInner allows you to set a separate CSS file definition for the
Booking Engine as used on Facebook.
You can set this CSS file as follows:
1. Log-into your wInner Webhotel account.
In the left menu, click on Setup Booking Engine
Click on General Settings
2. In the left panel you can select the CSS file (small)
Select the file facebook.css
Save these settings.
