What is a Tangential By-Pass Motor?
The implementation of a tangential exhaust ensures all heated and exhaust air is removed from the
motor chamber and expelled thus maximizing longevity of the motor components.
The cooling of the electric motors is effected by vents in the lid where clean air is drawn in for
constant cooling of the motor area. The implementation of a tangential exhaust ensures all heated
and dirty exhaust is removed completely from the motor chamber and expelled thus
maximizing motor life.
As air enters the cyclone separation and filtration, the warm suction air is led past the two fans
(bypass). As a result there is no contact between the warm, dirty exhaust air and the electric motor.
This protects against overheating of the motor.
