Elective Offerings
Guitar 1 is a course for beginning students with little or no experience on the guitar. The course is designed to teach the students the
elements of music, music appreciation and guitar technique.
Guitar 2 will begin where Guitar 1 leaves off. Students will work on
technique, expression and style. May be repeated for credit.
Music Technology Workshop will focus on the study of music
fundamentals and composition through the use of technology.
Students will learn to work with standard looping, digital audio, and
composition software. This course is designed for students with a
variety of musical backgrounds. May be repeated for credit.

Ensembles
as notation, clefs, intervals, and chords as well as more difficult concepts such as counterpoint, harmony, instrumentation and composition. A good portion of the class will pertain to ear training.
Perspectives in Music will expose students to a wide variety of
musical styles. Listening and analysis will be drawn from a variety
of genres and styles with the intention of further developing critical
reasoning skills through music.
