Boom Lake Milk Jug Regatta
The Boom Lake Milk Jug Regatta is a family fun event that challenges you to build a boat or rafts out of
milk jugs & bring it to Hodag Park on Saturday, June 21st at 1:00pm to test your paddling skills in a race.
Costumes and themes are encouraged! There is no fee for this event.










Milk jugs must be the primary floatation for the boat or raft but unlimited use of rope, twine,
string, glue, nails, staples, screws, wire, electrical and/or duct tape is allowed.
Neither engines nor motors of any kind are allowed, nor propulsion power or any other kind of
stored energy. Vessels may have a sails as a part of decoration but the primary power for
movement must be from paddles only.
Nothing is to be thrown or released from boats while in the water.
Decorations must be firmly attached.
Life jackets MUST be provided by the participants and worn at all times by all people on the boat
or raft - No exceptions!
A registration form must be completed and a waiver must be signed for each person before the
regatta begins.
The crew is required to transport the boat or its remains home and out of Hodag Park.
Participants must be 14 years or older to participate on the water.
All rulings and judgments are final.
No limit to the number of crew members.

All registrations must be received by 12:00pm June 21st at the Rhinelander Area Chamber of
Commerce or the Chamber booth at the Boom Lake Log Jam. All boats and paddlers will need
to be at the Waterski area of Hodag Park at 12:30pm to sign liability release forms and boat
inspection for compliance of the rules.
