up the rail and then to the outside to win for veteran
John Cardella who has enjoyed a prosperous spring.
DUFFINS had an April 15th seasonal bow at long odds but
was in against a top pair who were winter raced in Florida
and she finished eighth beaten eleven and a half lengths;
she is down one level while extending in distance.
WHYAGOTTOBETHATWAY was ready for her seasonal

and then went on to win at Fort Erie in an abbreviated
campaign; she returns following considerable time away
but has been here prepping for Robert Rose.

Indiana Grand with a jump in value, he ran the race of his life
at 39-1 improving radically to be second best against a front

HARBOUR GRACE concluded last season with a win;
she began this year for $9,500 seeking her third career
score but after a perfect attending trip, she faltered out
of the money in the same race where Euro Princess was
better in second.
EURO PRINCESS raced back in February at
Penn National without any positive results then relocated
here April 22nd where she moved nicely on the outside
from four wide at the top of the stretch to finally be second;
that race gives her some standing here.
KRZ PRINCESS competed over the winter time at Tampa
and was a winner last time for $8,000 against non winners
of two for Ashlee Brnjas; she also had a win here last
September going long; she will shorten from a series of
routes to try seven furlongs.
ENCHANTING ALLY had a nice win last November when
dropped down and she attracted a claim and proved best;
her only try for new interests came late in the season
where she failed; she is starting over here and indicates a
couple of recent works for Lorenzo Robinson.
AUNT SUE had no momentum in two starts at Penn
th
th
National December 30 and then January 18 was sent
to the sidelines; she does indicate a series of works locally
for Scott Fairlie and Rainford will now ride.
ARIEL’S VISION was a winner early at the meeting for
$9,500 against non winners of two when she provided a
late surge to score; the fifth place finisher, Thirteen
Diamonds, has come back to win while the fourth place
finisher from that last race has come back to be second;
she now tries non winners of three at the same price and
Husbands will once again be aboard.
FAIR ASTRONOMER was running on well to narrowly
miss the runner up spot in her finale and it was a top
performance; this will be her seasonal bow and she now
goes for Luke Carnegie; she had a recent gate work
getting ready; she comes from the outside.
TOBRUK had a breakthrough performance here last
September then followed with a series of pace tries where
he gave up the lead late in three consecutive events; this
will be his seasonal bow for Martin Drexler who has been
busy with this one in the morning with a series of works at a
half mile; Husbands takes over.
SPANISH BRIGADIER used speed on a surface helpful to
up front types April 23rd but lost the battle with the winner
and slipped back to fourth; he gets to drop for half the price
for that last event.
A BIT OF WHO DO had the best early speed in an April 15th
seasonal bow for $9,500 but then gradually fell out of
contention at five furlongs; he remains at a short distance
here.
PERFECT FORESTER saw his form deteriorate here last
September and he was taken to Finger Lakes for his finale
but had a poor result there; this will be his seasonal bow and
he is training currently with Norm McKnight; he was forced to
scratch from a race April 22nd but will go here instead.
KAT’S GOOD SCOUT is one of several speed influences
in the race and he was at five furlongs in his seasonal bow
when third and Beareagle retreated in fifth and he is next to
him in the gate; he has since had a work on the training track
looking to move forward.
BEAREAGLE started the season April 15th for $9,500 and
could not stay with the speed in that race and finished fifth
beaten four lengths; he had a better result in his opener
last year.
WALL STREET WOLF is a runner with some back class
getting his first start since July 8th when he was in for $9,500
when fifth; he had won his previous event; he shows a couple
of recent half mile works getting legged up.

SWEET RHAPSODY returned from a two race stint in
Tampa and joined the McKnight stable and finished an ok
third just narrowly out of second; the sixth place finisher
has come back to win; she has had an opportunity for
interim prepping and will now stretch out.
VIEW THE STAR was well positioned in several races last
season but finished on the edges at best; this will be her
seasonal bow and she sharpened recently from the gate
getting ready for Mike Mattine.
SPUNSATIONAL was winter raced at Tampa and had
some fringe tries; she now gets Garcia for Mike Wright Jr.;
she comes off the shelf and seeks her second share on
Tapeta.
th
ONE HOT MADAMME debuted March 29 at Tampa at a
mile on turf for $25,000 and at long odds, she lacked any
prominence; she now drops in for $15,000 and joins the
Drexler stable and Hernandez has been acquired.
VANITY PROJECT came off the shelf April 28th for
$32,000 and was part of an aggressive pace where she
faded; Campbell who had positive fringe results with her
last year, takes over after a one race absence.
COURT DEPUTY a debut runner for Frank Huarte, is from
the same dam who produced the multiple winner, Neeves;
she is a daughter of Court Vision and is looking to travel
six and a half furlongs for $15,000 in this launch; she
worked from the gate recently getting ready.
TORNADO CAT was late in moving in a December 3rd
finale when a distant fourth; she begins this campaign at
the same price range; after consecutive works at five
furlongs in April, she has had two subsequent works
getting ready for this return.
D’S BENEFACTION had an April 16th seasonal bow and
raced from the inside from the third flight and wasn’t far
behind with Viva Forever in second and Sweet Rhapsody
third; there is a furlong farther with which to work.
SHEZTENTHEHARDWAY set the pace but then gradually
gave way in an April 22nd second start of the meeting
where she had dropped for that event; she comes down
in value once again for this third start of the meet.
VIVA FOREVER ran better than most expected in an
April 16th seasonal bow; she was cheapening up for that
event and rallied into second; Boulanger has the mount
once again.
SINGNORITA gets her first start since July when she was
without momentum; she has prepped regularly for her
return for Gord Colbourne
SYDNEY BAY a four year old, debuted at long odds last
October and checked three furlongs from home and lost all
chance; second time out, early speed was obvious but not
enough staying power; for this seasonal bow, he has been
showing preps since late March for Beverley Chubb including
four consecutive works at five furlongs; he comes from the
inside post with Devon Johnson aboard.
WARDO a four year old, had sharp improvement second
time out last November and made a premature rush to the
lead then gave it away late to a preferred winner; a comeback
race over a surface helping off the pace runners resulted in
an eighth place finish when he couldn’t sustain his power on
the turn; he now gets to run for $30,000 for John LeBlanc Jr.
and has been busy with works; he rates attention.
st
ABOVE ALL ODDS debuted April 21 and seemed to lose
his path from the second flight and then backed away; he
now comes up tagged for this second start and has had an
interim half mile work.
TRUBAR a debut runner for Robert Gerl, is a four year old
by the popular Sligo Bay traveling just five and a half furlongs;
he indicates a recent five furlong work getting ready and
Ryan will ride.
FRESCOBALDI returned last December for his second lifetime
start which featured some early speed for $25,000 but he was
finally seventh; the blinkers are on for this seasonal bow; he is
now a second time lasix user; he indicates recent works at five
furlongs getting ready.
st
TALE OF RONIN a three year old, returned to action April 21
at five furlongs in a protected spot and had some early
prominence but was finally sixth of ten; the eighth place
finisher, Courtly Manner, came back to win the finale on
Sunday; he has now tried key winners in consecutive events
and now seeks relief for $30,000.
SPLASH WITH ME a four year old, was on the edges on a
regular basis last season but wasn’t able to improve his
position significantly late in his races; he runs for $32,000 in
this seasonal bow for Paul Buttigieg and has trained regularly
getting ready.

GRAY PHANTOM had a well documented mid October
success last season when dropping in for $20,000 to win one
of the most coveted races of the year; his seasonal bow
April 23rd saw him against the bias when trying to run from
off the pace against a speed winner and now he comes down
in value; he can run late.
LOOKINGFORANEWHOME had everything go wrong in
the final half furlong of his finale December 2nd; he caused
interference and an incident beyond the wire further
compromised him; he is starting over again here for
Paul Buttigieg after a series of works including two preps at
five furlongs.
CONCORSO was fully expected to be a speed force when he
came here April 15th and he put away the other speed rival to
take a victory against non winners of two for $10,000; he
extends in distance and doubles in value for Cole Bennett.
DAMASCUS ROAD had a couple of runs in the winter in
New Orleans and was fourth beaten a length for $15,000 last
time out; he has been here since early April; he goes for the
formidable Casse stable which is hitting at a 37% rate locally;
he goes for a potent jockey/trainer combination.
BETTIN’ ACES did well in his finale when second for
$19,000 against non winners of three and he gave up the
lead only late; his seasonal bow came in a protected spot;
with that race out of the way, he quickly gets back with his
own kind where he figures to be more competitive.
YOU KNOW JACK is getting his first start of the year; he
concluded last season with a victory against non winners of
two when going from a sprint to a route and significant
support showed for him; he tries six furlongs in this return.
DIXIE WHISTLER woke up second time out last spring with
an upset win at six furlongs; this will be his seasonal bow
and he concluded last year with five consecutive out of the
money finishes.
MIKE was building sure stamina through the middle of May last
season but had a letdown performance in mid June and then
was done for the season by the beginning of July; he has built
certain momentum in workouts getting ready for this return for
John LeBlanc Jr.; he should be advancing in the stretch.
WHERE’S THE GOLD was on his way in front December 2nd
and lasted for a maiden score at six furlongs; he indicates a
couple of quick recent works getting ready for Robert Tiller;
Moreno will take over; he is a three year old facing some
older rivals.
NEIL’S DIAMOND had his best races of last season in his first
two tries of the year; he was certainly over the top of his best
form by the summer time; he posted a fast recent work in 1.00
getting ready for Franz Crean who has had good representation at
the meet from limited opportunities; he departs the lasix program.
RATFACE MACDOUGALL had his typical faltering speed
offering April 16th and he was fourth beaten three lengths when
Awesome Five was second; he did go all the way on one occasion
last season; perhaps second time out, he will be more thorough;
he has since prepped in 46.1.
BUDDING had a win March 26th at Gulfstream at five furlongs on
the turf for maiden $20,000 and also had some earlier good
finishes there; he was forced to scratch from a race here April 16th
and will now get back into the game.
COURT SAVVY was relocated here last November and ran a
strong race for an Ontario sire win; his comeback race wasn’t
as good; he has been building up with three consecutive works
at five furlongs for Ralph Biamonte getting ready.
TITANICO was able to win after a couple of preliminary outings
last season; this will be his first start of the campaign and he
travels six furlongs with Wilson aboard and she was up for two
of his best races last season.
ME MORE ran to his good looks in taking an inexpensive opener
at just five furlongs where he dominated the pace; the stable has
also been doing well with second out starters at the meeting.
FRONT NINE finished on the edges in an April 16th seasonal bow
when he checked late when out of contention and Awesome Five
was better in second; he is hoping to move forward in this second
start of the meet just like he did last summer when he was getting
his second start locally.
AREOCENTRIC came home from Tampa and had a failed
performance April 15th when protected in a first allowance event;
he lost position on the backstretch; he now gets in for $40,000
hoping to recapture the type of form he showed at Tampa.
AWESOME FIVE earned a high rating when he was narrowly
beaten for $40,000 against non winners of two last November
when traveling farther than this; his seasonal bow at five and a
half furlongs was promising; he closed very late on the outside
and there is a half furlong added today; he has a wide post.
