Update from Ottawa U Residents

It's been a busy start to the year in Ottawa!
We have welcomed three new PGY1s to the group: Sophia Colantonio, Andrea Zarins and Brandon
Worley - we're so delighted to have you.
We also wish to congratulate our newest grads - Shanna Spring who is off to
San Francisco for a Pediatric Dermatology fellowship and Jen MacIsaac who
has started a Laser Dermatology fellowship here in Ottawa with our own Dr.
Sharyn Laughlin. We are welcoming back Dr. Michele Ramien who has finished
her fellowship in Montréal and will be starting up some Pediatric clinics this fall.
We also wish to welcome our new Program Director, Dr. Steven Glassman and thank Dr. Simone
Fahim who has done an amazing job over the past two years.
In other resident news, we've had a baby boom with three new Derm babies welcomed to the
family. Dr. Genevieve Gavigan and her husband Sefton Hyde-Clark welcomed Desmond Jack this
past July. Dr. Alexandra Kuritzky and her husband Danny Bernstein and big brother Oscar
celebrated the birth of little Darcy Jules in June. Finally, our Mohs surgeon Dr. Jillian Macdonald
and her husband Dr. Trevor Nodwell and big brother Berkley welcomed little Wilder Tennyson in
May.
Can't wait to see what the new year will bring!
