Miami Library News
The students at Miami School love checking out
books. We check out AR books so that we can read
them and make our AR reading goals. Some of the
popular books are: SpongeBob, Fly Guy, Clifford,
Berenstain Bears, Magic Tree House, Wimpy Kid,
Captain Underpants, Dork Diaries, graphic novels,
to name a few. The students come to the library for
45 minutes. They have a 15 minute book check out
time and a 30 minute instruction time.
The Book Fair is coming to Miami!
The Book Fair will take place Friday, Oct. 17th to
Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 in the library. It will be
open from 11:45 am to 3:30 pm. It will also be
open during the parent teacher conferences on
Tuesday, Oct. 21 and Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 4
pm to 7 pm. You can bring your children to school
during parent teacher conferences and drop them off
at the library so that they can look around the book
fair while you go to the conference with their
teacher. You can meet up with them after the
conferences are over. Books make wonderful
rewards for doing well in school. The profit that we
make from the Book Fair goes towards the purchase
of more AR books for our students to read. I hope to
see you there! –Mrs. Glusic
