How to run a charity bake sale

Here are some top tips for a successful
bake sale at your school.
7 simple steps
1. To help you make as much money for your chosen charities
as possible, carefully work out what you should charge per
cake, based on how much the ingredients have cost.
2. Consider personalising your cakes for buyers with piped icing
and decoration – you can always charge a bit more when you
make them look fancy!
3. Have some paper bags handy so children and staff can buy cakes
to take home for friends and family, as well as enjoy there and then.
4. In the spirit of the Big School Bake Off, a little friendly competition
never hurt anyone. Why not see who can sell the most cakes and
present them with a certificate using one of the blank posters
in your pack?
5. Keep a list of all the ingredients used in your cakes in case anyone
has any allergies.
6. If children under the age of 16 are involved in fundraising, ensure they
have permission from their parent or guardian and are supervised
by an adult.
