PAMOM officially celebrates its 22nd
Anniversary of helping and mentoring
moms this year! It is truly amazing how
much this organization has grown from
a club of 7 moms to a club of 234
moms. It’s also hard to imagine how
many friendships have been formed
and how many moms have been
helped.
When I think back to my own PAMOM
experience, it all started in January
2011. I was five months pregnant, and
during a sonogram my live changed
drastically. The doctor announce that I
was not carrying twins, but rather I was
carrying triplets. I was in a state of complete shock! I consulted and cried to a
fellow mom of triplets; she told me everything was going to be alright and to
contact PAMOM. I’m so glad I did!
Through PAMOM, I was immediately
TREASURER

MOM to: Abigail &
Heath (8/13/10)
setup with a mentor, JoSue.
I’m not sure I could have made it
without a mentor by myside! My
mentor experience was so valuable that I decided to sign up for
VP of Helping Hands last year. I
had a great year of getting to
know new moms and encouraging new mentors but I felt like I
could do more.
PAMOM means more to me than
just mentors; it also means support, friendship, community service, volunteer and leadership
opportunities. I am humbled and
honored to step up to serve as
your 2015-2016 President, and I
promise to uphold all of those
values.
Outside of PAMOM, I am a mom
to three beautiful children: Adam,
Sami and Zeina. I am also a 4th
grade teacher and an aspiring
photographer.
Since Father’s Day is just around
the corner, I would like to extend
a thank you to all of the fathers of
multiples. We are constantly
leaning on you for support, a
helping hand and the occasional
covering for us when we need a
mom’s night out! Happy Father’s
Day!
As excited as I am to serve, I
could not do the job without the
help of my executive board, general board members, committee
members, and Chair positions.
and talents to PAMOM. Since I have
been an Office Manager for CPA’s for
half my life, I thought being Treasurer
would be a great fit.
I would also like to give a big thank you to
Terri Ellis Schmidt for volunteering for the
[email protected] past six years on the PAMOM Board!
Hello! My name is Sandy Bobo, and I
am the new Treasurer for the 20152016 PAMOM year. I have volunteered for the last two years on the
Helping Hands Committee and have
decided to step it up this year; by joining the Executive Board. This will be
my fifth year in PAMOM. I thought long
and hard on what would be a good fit
for me, how I could contribute my time,
Thank you to all who have
stepped up to serve on the board
this year! I’m looking forward to
a great year!
PAMOM’s fiscal year begins in June. The
proposed budget will be discussed at the
upcoming Board meeting, and will be approved by the Board. As we begin the new
fiscal year, here are a few reminders:

·Expense Vouchers and Income
Vouchers (no cash) can be submitted

to include a return address if you are
requesting a check.
·Turn in all income and expenses in a
timely manner.

the budget or forms, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I
look forward to a great year!

PAMOM SECRETARY
Christine Stroud
Hello! I
am Christine
MOM to: Sloane &
Harrison (7/9/14)
Stroud,
[email protected] and I am
happy to
be this year’s PAMOM Secretary. This is my first
year to serve on the Board. I have active, entertaining 11-month-old B/G twins, Harrison and
Sloane. They will turn one on July 9th, and I am
currently having fun planning their first birthday
party. When I’m not volunteering for PAMOM
PAMOMSecretary
and chasing my little ones
around, I work as an attorney for an oil and gas business
located in Addison. In my
(limited) free time, I love to
cook, travel, take photos and
run.
I began attending PAMOM
meetings in 2014 when I was
pregnant with my twins. The
decision to volunteer was easy!
From the beginning, PAMOM
has been such a blessing to
me—it is a great place to get
advice, make friends, and remember that you are not
alone in the challenges of raising multiples! I am looking
forward to getting to know
many more of you this year
and serving on the Executive
Board under the guidance of
Laura Al-Otaibi.

[email protected]
Hello Fellow MoMs,I am thrilled to be on the
board again this year. For the past two years
most of you may have known me as the Advertising Coordinator that would stand in
front of you asking you to advertise with
PAMOM. Well, now I will be standing in
front of you taking pictures. I am the Historian which means I capture every PAMOM
moment - or at least I try to capture every
moment. I love to take photos so this seemed
like the perfect role for me.
For those of you who do not know me, I have
twin boys who are about to turn five and start
Mazik Twins
kindergarten in the Fall. They take weekly swim
and gymnastics lessons and love to ride their
bikes. My sweet, silly and very active boys definitely keep me busy, in addition to my job,
where I work in the Marketing Department at
JCPenney's headquarters. And I am a die hard
Aggie, so when football season rolls around
you will find me cheering on my Aggies!
If you have any photos of you and your kiddos
that you would like to share please send them
to [email protected] so that I can include
them in PAMOM's annual scrapbook. And if
you see a crazy photographer lady trying to
take your picture, just stop and SMILE. :)

Hello Moms and hellllloooo rain! We are
so excited to get our new PAMOM year
rolling and we have some exciting things
planned for the coming months! Although we didn't meet in May due to our
board transition, we had a great time at
our Installation Dinner and a very successful Board Retreat - thank to all of
you who came out and joined in the fun!
For the month of June we have Dr.
Pearce from Plano Urgent Care
coming to speak on a variety of
topics. What are some simple things
we can do this summer to protect
our kids from things such as heat
exhaustion? What are the top reasons kids are seen in the ER? How
do you know if a trip to the ER is
necessary? How high do you let
your child's fever get before taking
them to the ER if your pediatrician's office is close? Come with
more questions and have them answered by the people who know it
best! Our recent social we had touring the Plano Urgent Care office
was a great time and we know you'll enjoy
their staff when they come to speak as well!
Plano Urgent Care will also be out Spotlight Vendor for the evening so stop by
their table to learn more about their facility
and to pick up some fun goodies!
We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, June 9th! Forums will start at 6:15pm,
dinner at 7pm & our announcements and
general speaker around 7:30. As always, if
you have any questions, concerns or ideas
for upcoming topics/speakers, don't hesitate to email me at [email protected].

EARLY LEARNING MOMS COORDINATOR
Cox Quads last day of
school!
Welcome back Early Learning Moms!
Despite having a great transition period for PAMOM in most areas, we are
still in need of an Early Learning
Moms Coordinator. Until the role has
been filled, I will be overseeing the
forum. That being said, my plate is
very full between my own five kiddos
and my dedicated role as the Meeting
Support Coordinator. I enjoy serving
PAMOM with all I have, but I hate to
stretch myself too thin! Please consider stepping up and taking over the
forum, or grab a friend and cocoordinate it together! With
the outgoing coordinating,
Juliet, to help guide you, it
should be an easy transition.
Please let me know if you are
considering, I'd love to talk to
you about the position to see if
it's a good fit for you!For the
month of June, we will do an
open discussion or Q&A. I'd
like to take this time to talk
about what topics you'd like to
cover over the coming year
and what you did and didn't
like this past year. If time allows, we can also discuss other
topics such as transitioning
into elementary school, discipline for older kiddos...etc. I
look forward to seeing you all
June 9th at 6:15pm. We will
also have a fun DOOR PRIZE
up for grabs for all who attend
the Early Learning Forum!

LAUREN CARONA is 34 weeks pregnant her BG twins, although is moving slower these days. She and her husband have picked out names for twins and are counting down the weeks until her due date in June. Lauren has had
all of her baby showers now so is able to fully prepare for her twin bundles of joy. The babies are doing well! You
are doing an awesome job Lauren! Way to go! 214.729.1600.

look fantastic!
ELLEN FISHPAW is still progressing on target in her pregnancy and just found out she is having 2 boys. They
are very excited. They are starting the fun task of decorating the nursery. Keep up the great work Ellen!
SONIEL HAN GABRIELSON is around 25 weeks along with her twins. She recently found out they are
boy/girl! A few weeks ago Soniel was put on bedrest. She is able to work from home and have some flexibility with
that, and her husband is taking good care of her! Sending prayers and good thoughts for a healthy mama and
healthy babies. 612.290.6299.
RACHEL GELSOMINI is 35 weeks pregnant with her G/G twins. She has been working on the nursery and organizing everything after her baby shower. She's taking it slow though so the girls do not decide to come earlier than
planned!! She is scheduled to deliver at 38 weeks, but that may be moved up to 37 weeks. You're almost at the finish
line!! 972.548.7969.
CARRIE JOHNSON is doing GREAT at 26 and a half weeks and continuing to see her OB and specialist each
month. Baby Boy and Girl are growing and mom can't wait for the next sonogram next week. She is busy with her
registry and trying to relax as she heads into the third trimester!
SUSAN NORMAN is now 18 weeks with her B/G twins. At her last doctor appointment both babies were right
on schedule. Now Susan is trying to decide which names she likes for the little ones. She is in the middle of moving
so is waiting until she is in the new house to start buying too much baby stuff. Susan is concentrating on picking out
big ticket items right now. You are doing great Susan! 214.383.4651.
JENNIFER SHARPE has been in the hospital the past week because of high blood pressure. She had no symptoms of high blood pressure. They were able to get her blood pressure under control and she was able to go home
on Friday but is going to have to be on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. She will also have to continue
to monitor her blood pressure. I am happy to report that the babies are doing great! Hang in there Jennifer, you've
got this! Try and get all the sleep you can now! 201.860.1199.

Expecting Triplets
LATARSHA COTTON is now 25 weeks along with her BBG triplets. So far there are no complications with the pregnancy, just a tad bit uncomfortable. However, she is getting tired really fast and the babies are doing great … very active
& all are a pound and a half! LaTarsha works for a land development company in the accounting department and her fiancé is in the military and a truck driver. She is the first in her family, as well as in his, to give birth to triplets. She has
only one set of twins in her family & he has about 6! LaTarsha also has 2 daughters ages 18 & 7, and they are really excited about the upcoming birth of the triplets! She is also surrounded by with many positive people who are very supportive
during this amazing time in her life. LaTarsha commented, “All in all, I am reminded of how truly blessed I am that God
chose me!” Hang in there LaTarsha; you are doing a fabulous job carrying those precious gifts! 214.791.2940.
BRENNA JOHNSON is 15 weeks pregnant with triplets. She is taking it easy these days and is enjoying the second
trimester! She is looking forward to taking her two older children to Disney but she has plenty of pre-planned breaks.
Keep up the good work Brenna! 214-675-1162.
GRETCHEN JULIUS is expecting BBG triplets! She is 33 weeks along in her pregnancy and somehow found the energy to make it to one last movie with her husband before the trio arrives. She is being seen twice a week at this point, but
still going strong. The 34 week marker is right around the corner. I am so proud of you. I know we will miss you at the
June meeting, but it will be for a very good reason! 646-637-3200.
NIKI SCHERTZ is now reached 24 weeks (viability week…Yay!) with her BGG triplets. Tentative names are Daniel,
Baby B & Jordan. She graduated from UNT with a degree in Education and worked as a substitute teacher for 4 years.
Now she works at home as a part-time accountant, and is spoiled royally (she comments) by her husband who is a computer consultant, mainly is software development/implementation. The triplets will be their first children (other than a
REALLY spoiled doggy named Rudy). Niki is not on bed rest; however, she has adopted a self-imposed limitation of activities mindset. Way to go, Niki!!! Niki has interests in ceramics/pottery and even purchased a kiln! She hopes to keep
those babies “baking” into the 30 week range! Keep up the great work Niki … those Cantaloupes will soon be 3 healthy
little babies! 214.952.1610.
CALLIE TERRY’s Boy, Boy, Boy triplets are now at the 24 week mark! This is a huge milestone for the trio. Callie has
been keeping herself busy writing her dissertation and hopes to have it turned in this week! Way to go, YOU DID IT!!!
Callie and Zac are excited to start preparing their house for these three new additions. Hope to see you at the meeting in
June Callie!

Martha & Melissa (6/00)
[email protected]
Hello, my name is Melissa Miller. I will be serving as
PAMOM Newsletter Editor this year. I’m a 25-year
retired Army wife. Hubby, Mark, and I will celebrate
27 year anniversary in September. In my husband’s
retirement, he has discovered why I didn’t always
have dinner on the table when he came home from
work. Or when the children were still in their pjs and
dirty when he came home, and I think he has the
“easy” years with them being teens. He is basically
their chauffeur and money tree, and he has no time
to himself. (giggle-sorry to any dad’s reading) We
have 3 children, son-Mark II-16 years old & Identical
Twin daughters-Martha & Melissa – 15 years
old.WHEW! Where has the time
gone? I blinked and they are
almost grown. My son recently
received his driver’s license, left
the house for the very first time,
and I was a basket case! My son
plays ice hockey on a Dallas Stars youth travel
team, and his HS Varsity team. Our twin girls are
gymnasts, soccer players, tennis players, and
Martha just made the Color
Guard. If you haven’t guessed
yet, with all of those schedules…yes! My calendar is color
coded. Everyone has their own
color, and then the twins have
2 colors-one for when they
have their own activities, and
one for when they have activities together. I
love Scrapbooking, Crafts, Reading and
playing softball-YES! I still play co-ed, and
still haven’t found an “ol lady team” yet. My
husband has his own color too, as he plays
on an ‘ol dudes (over 30) ice hockey team. I
work full-time at the VA clinic in Ft. Worth,
and have worked as some kind of Administrative Assistant for the VA since 1990. We
had 19 military moves, and I worked at 13
VA’s so far. Before that, I was an Admin.
Assistant in the US Army Reserves.
Anyway, back to business. Please don’t
hesitate to send me articles, pictures, videos
(yes I want your cute, funny and hilarious
videos of those kids). For July, I need all of
those Red/White/Blue pictures, fireworks
pictures, picnic pictures, lake or pool pictures
-whatever you do on July 4th, send them to
me at [email protected] Then, in
August, send me your watermelon pictures, your school supply shopping pictures.
BE CREATIVE!! If you have a picture
you just love and want to share, but I
haven’t listed that for submission-SEND
IT TO ME ANYWAY! I may be working
on articles where I need a filler, and your
picture would be PERFECT. And don’t
forget those siblings too. I also serve as
a District Reporter for NOMOTC, writing
articles for “The Notebook”. You may
hear from me for those too!
I look forward to seeing your articles,
pictures, videos and fun times this year.
Twinscerely plus one,
Melissa M. (AKA – “Melissa squared” –
there are 2 of us on the Board now.)
