Scene I
 Macbeth tells murderers to wait for his command
 Macbeth and Lady Macbeth invite Banquo to the feast
 Macbeth reminds murderers of all the wrong Banquo has done to them
 Macbeth tells murderers to kill Banquo away from the palace so he doesn’t get blamed
 Macbeth plans to kill Banquo so Banquo’s children won’t become king
 Macbeth starts thinking its worthless to be king if he isn’t safe
 Banquo sets off
Scene 2
 Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth to act normal because he plans on doing something that night
that he can’t tell her
 Lady Macbeth asks what Macbeth did
 It is revealed Lady Macbeth has some guilt for killing Duncan
 Macbeth is trying to not think about what they did
 Lady Macbeth sends servants to find Macbeth
 Macbeth enters and tells Lady Macbeth his mind is full of scorpions
Scene 3
 Banquo is murdered
 Murderers hear Banquo approaching them
 Fleance fled
 Murderers prepare to attack
Scene 4
 Macbeth sees the ghost of Banquo
 Macbeth is told Banquo is dead
 Lady Macbeth tells the guests to leave
 Macbeth pays servants to spy on nobles
 Lady Macbeth does not believe Macbeth’s hallucinations and calls him unmanly
 Macbeth tries to justify his murder to Banquo’s ghost
Scene 5
 The three witches speak to Hecate
 Hecate tells the 3 witches her plan to kill Macbeth
 Hecate yells at the witches for not including her in the mischief
 Hecate tells the witches to meet her in the morning
 Hecate tells the witches she wants to be a part of her plan
Scene 6
 Lennox and the Lord question where Fleance ran off to
 The Lord and Lennox make a plan to confront Macbeth
 The Lord mentions that Malcolm is the being treated well by the English King Edward
 Lennox mentions that Macduff has been staying away from Macbeth’s court and it’s been
disrespectful
 Macduff refuses to join Macbeth’s army
 Macduff wants King Edward to persuade people to join Malcolm’s cause
