Carly is Social Economy Officer of
SEWCED, the South East Community
Economic Development Programme
operated within Bridgend County
Council. Her role is to co-ordinate
a social enterprise grant scheme to
develop sustainable enterprises and
support communities. She works
with organisations to get them to be
‘investment ready’, offering support
before and after the process.
She also holds the role of Director at
Port Talbot and Afan Women’s Aid, and
has previously worked at Chwarae Teg
as a Senior Project Officer, delivering
ILM training to women.
She said: ‘The sector has a real
opportunity to grow and sustain itself
for generations to come and position
itself as a true player in rebuilding the
Welsh economy.
‘I am extremely proud and lucky to
be working on such a reactive and
innovative programme.’

To take responsibility for the evaluation and monitoring of all aspects of this
exciting five year project rolling out across Gwent to provide self-management
courses/groups, peer to peer support and one to one support with transitions
to young people (14-25) with mental health problems. The ideal candidate
will have the range of skills, knowledge and abilities required to successfully
develop, implement, and manage the evaluation and monitoring systems
and processes for this new project from its inception, to delivery and onto
sustainability in collaboration and partnership with multiple stake holders.

Work as part of the Mobile Unit and Cancer Support teams and contribute
to the successful operation of the Mobile Unit. The Tenovus Mobile
Unit operates at the heart of communities, bringing treatment closer to
patient’s homes, saving them often costly and stressful journeys to and
from hospital.
Newport Mind is looking for four dynamic and inspirational support
workers to provide housing related support to tenants of Newport
Mind and clients in the community. The ideal candidates will have
a range of skills, knowledge and abilities required to successfully
deliver support to clients that promotes their mental wellbeing and
independence supporting them to progress to a life without the need
for support. This is a chance to positively contribute to the continuing
success of Newport Mind housing and tenancy support service.
