This is a Covenant Teaching
“Walk In Your Own Covenant!”
Gen. 18.1-22:24
Whose Life are you Appearing IN??
5 Points of Faith
The Gates, doors, entrances to the “TENT”
#1 Gen 18:1 And ‫ יהוה‬appeared to him by the terebinth trees of
Mamrĕ, while he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.
Gen 18:2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and saw three men standing
opposite him. And when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to
meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,
Gen 18:3 and said, “Adonai, ‫אדני‬if I have now found favor in Your
eyes, please do not pass Your servant by.”
#2 Gen 18:10 And He said, “I shall certainly return to
you according to the time of life, and see, Sarah your
wife is to have a son!” And Sarah was listening in the
tent (ôhel; H168 ‫ אהל‬Tent, tabernacle, covering )
door (pethach; H6607 ‫ פּתח‬opening, doorway, entrance,
different from the gate or door in Gen 19) which was
behind him. #3 Gen 19:1 And the two messengers came
to Soḏom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the
gate, (the door, the opening)* of Seḏom, Sodom.
* Gate, H8179 ‫ ׁשער‬sha‛ar: gate, entrance, to
marketplace, public meeting place, city, town, gate of
palace, royal castle, All things common!
from the root word, ‫ ׁשער‬shâ‛at, H8176; to split open,
reason out, calculate, reckon, estimate, to calculate,
the mind or reasoning of man will open the door or gate
to unclean or common, but it is also used as thinketh,
Psalms 23:7 (KJV) For as he thinks in his heart,
• #4 Gen 18:14 “Is any matter too hard for ‫?יהוה‬
At the appointed time I am going to return to
you, according to the time of life, and Sarah is
to have a son.”
• The Anointed Seed, of which we have been
grafted into.
• (“and a sower goes out to sow…” Matt 13)
• The family of HIS anointing. The promise, the
way, the Gift of Eternity.
• Messiah!
• You have that “SEED” promise!
• The enormous amount of Mercy that Yahweh
displays not for Lot but for The One Keeping
Covenant!!
• #5 Gen 18:20 And ‫ יהוה‬said, “Because the outcry
against Seḏom-Sodom and Amorah-Gomorrah is
great, and because their sin is very heavy,”
• Gen 18:23-26 And Abraham drew near and
said, “Would You also destroy the
righteous with the wrong? Suppose there
are fifty righteous within the city, would
You also destroy the place and not spare it
for the fifty righteous that were in it?”
• “Far be it from You to act in this way, to
slay the righteous with the wrong, so that
the righteous should be as the wrong. Far
be it from You! Does the Judge of all the
earth not do right?”
• And ‫ יהוה‬said, “If I find in Soḏom fifty
righteous within the city, then I shall
spare all the place for their sakes.”
• And the story takes it all the way down to
“… if there be ten”, Yahweh would not
destroy it, but how many did they find??
• Messiah’s great Compassion and Mercy,
• Mat 23:23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites! Because you tithe the mint and the anise
and the cumin, and have neglected the weightier
matters of the Torah: the right-ruling and the
compassion and the belief. These need to have been
done, without neglecting the others.
• Has our Righteousness become our Idol??
• Rom 6:1-3 So then, are we to say, "Let's keep on
sinning, so that there can be more grace"? Heaven
forbid! How can we, who have died to sin, still live in
it? Don't you know that those of us who have been
immersed into the Messiah Yeshua have been
immersed into his death?
• Rom 6:4 Through immersion into his death we were
buried with him; so that just as, through the glory of
the Father, the Messiah was raised from the dead,
likewise we too might live a new life.
• Psa 103:6 - The Lord executes - This shall
be done because the Lord will avenge his
elect who have cried unto him day and
night for his deliverance: “He is slow to
anger;” but he will punish. “He is
plenteous in mercy,” and he will save. The
persevering sinner shall be destroyed; the
humble penitent shall be saved.
• Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they
shall obtain mercy.
• Mat 9:13 But go and learn what that
means, I will have mercy, and not
sacrifice: for I am not come to call the
righteous, but sinners to repentance.
• Mat 6:14 For if you forgive men their
trespasses, your heavenly Father shall also
forgive you.

• His Mercy is now Our Mercy! Yes? NO?
• Mat 25:40 And the Sovereign shall answer and say to them,
‘Truly, I say to you, in so far as you did it to one of the least
of these My brothers, you did it to Me.’
• Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given to you. A good measure,
pressed down and shaken together and running over shall be
put into your lap. For with the same measure with which you
measure, it shall be measured back to you.
• Joel 2:13 And tear your heart and not your garments, and
turn back to ‫ יהוה‬your Elohim, for He shows favour and is
compassionate, patient, and of great kindness, and He shall
relent concerning the evil.
• Mic 7:18 Who is an Ěl like You – taking away crookedness
and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His
inheritance? He shall not retain His wrath forever, for He
Himself delights in kindness.
• Mic 6:8 He has declared to you, O man, what is good. And
what does ‫ יהוה‬require of you but to do right, and to love
kindness, and to walk humbly with your Elohim?
• It is a command!
• Luke 6:36 Be ye merciful, even as your
Father is merciful.
• A couple of Yeshua’s stories of Mercy, from
Gen 18-19: (but found in the Gospels)
• A man found that his relative had a great
relationship with the “only true Elohim
Yahweh!”
• So he followed his relative, came to know
this God, and learned to love and respect
HIM, and he knew he was under the
covenant and covering of his relative,
uncle Abraham. Instead of pitching or
building his house on the Rock of
Abraham’s covenant he pitched his tent,
(planted his roots, and built his house) on
what looked good,
• “the grass is greener over here.” “he
pitched his tent towards Sodom.”
• His wife and his daughters were fascinated
with the excitement in their new world,
with the bright lights at night in the desert
city of “fascination” - Sodom, (‘drakon’ in
Greek).
• And then it “rained” (a little fire and
brimstone, but it rained) and when the
rains came their life, lifestyle, their house
& everything that HIS life was built upon
came down, his life was built upon a
concept that was known as “HIS Way”. He
built his Life, House, upon “The Sand”!
Matt 7:24-27
• Another tale of Mercy!
• There was a King, let’s call Him, Yahweh who called in
one of HIS chosen ones, and asked him for an
accounting, hesbon nephesh of what the chosen one
needed to deal with, what areas in his life was he
accountable to the King for?
• The chosen one, (servant) had many areas of his life
that needed to be dealt with, or needed to be forgiven.
• Then the King told him he must pay for his debts and
the punishment was very severe, but the chosen one
asked for Forgiveness, (but he must have known the
King’s secret access, or HIS Son.) so…
• The King was so merciful, and forgave HIS Debt. Wow,
what a merciful KING!
• But then King heard that someone owed the servant
many realms of debts and the servant was harsh and
very unforgiving.
• When the King heard this he used the
Chosen one’s very own form of Mercy and
ruling.
• Then the King reversed HIS mercy and
gave him the same harsh punishment that
the ‘chosen One’ used when showing
Mercy. Matt 18:23-35
• Yahweh showed HIS Mercy to Lot for
Abraham’s sake.
• The Seed was given to Abraham to give
Life and have an Heir.
• That Seed is the “Promise” that you are
under.
• It is the Covering of Abraham, the Seed of
Messiah.
• You are saved, just as Lot, just as Noah’s
family, as joint heirs.
• But just as Lot had a choice to make his
own covenant with the God of Abraham,
so do we!
• All Israel will be saved, but not all of
Israel is making COVENANT with
Yahweh.
• Are you ready for the Tests?! It is worth
it!
• Then take this next season and make
and walk in HIS Covenant.
