The baby contest will be at 2pm and dog parade at 3:30pm. This year’s show will be opened by Jo Farrow of STV Weather, who will then crown the show queen before the presentation of the trophies. Aberchirder Primary School competition winners will also be presented with their trophies. In addition to livestock exhibits, more than 250 trade stands provide a wealth of shopping opportunities and there are plenty of eating and drinking options at the large Food Fayre. There is a forestry section, a craft fair and a full programme of events taking place in the arena. These include pony and trap competitions and parades, tug-of-war, brass and jazz bands, vintage vehicle displays, falconry, races and Highland dancers and pipes.
