(X552) (5 Days)
I. General Information
HIDA was established in 1959 as the first private-based technical cooperation organization in Japan, and
the total number of participants attending training in Japan has reached more than 182,000, representing 170
countries and regions from around the world in fiscal 2015, while the total number of participants in HIDA
training in overseas countries has exceeded 197,000.
HIDA has been developing New Global Cooperation (NGC) programs with the use of HIDA’s 57-year
experiences in the field of human resource development in many countries as well as its networking capability
inside and outside of Japan. NGC provides seminars introducing Japan's highly competitive management
fields such as environmental management and innovation management as well as offers business exchange
meeting between companies in overseas countries and Japan.
Seminar on Amoeba Management is designed for owners, directors and senior managers of companies to
deepen their understanding of Amoeba Management*, one of the unique management methods created in
Japan, and acquire the capability to introduce it to their company. In this system, every employee plays a major
role and voluntarily participates in managing the unit, achieving what is known as "Management by All".
This seminar will be organized by HIDA-NGC in cooperation with KYOCERA Communication Systems Co.,
Ltd. (KCCS) (http://www.kccs.co.jp/english/index.html), the one and only consulting firm that inherits the
Amoeba Management System.
*Amoeba Management
Amoeba Management is a unique management method that Mr. Kazuo Inamori, Founder of Kyocera Corporation and very famous
Japanese business leader, created while striving to uphold Kyocera's management rationale.
Amoeba Management begins with dividing an organization into small units called "amoebas". Each amoeba leader is responsible for
drafting plans and goals for the unit. Amoebas achieve their goals through collaboration and the hard efforts of all their amoeba members.
In this system, every employee plays a major role and voluntarily participates in managing the unit, achieving what is known as
"Management by All".
The Amoeba Management System has been implemented at approximately 600 companies, including Kyocera, KDDI and Japan
Airlines (JAL), where Mr. Inamori led the successful turnaround initiative.
