Important Notices
Secondary Science Competition – This Thursday!
The theme for this year’s Science Competition is
Biology. All secondary students will be running an
exhibition as part of the day. We invite you to join us
Thursday, 11th August 2016
9:30am – 10:40am
A special lunch will be awarded to the most entertaining group in each class. The best scientific
investigation in each class will win a place on the Science trip to the Eden Marine Discovery Centre.
Please join us for a great morning!
Beginning of August is Hats On!
Week 4 will see students expected to wear their school hat when outside
(until the end of May 2017). Students without a hat will be required to
play under the shade cloth, near the line-up area.
Lost Property is Overflowing
If your child has an item or two that has been missing for a while please take a look
through our Lost Property Box. There are lots of lunchboxes and the usual jumpers
among other items. Please note that if they ‘re not collected by Wednesday,
10th August they will be donated.

The Secret of Happy Children with Steve Biddulph
Emmaus Christian School is holding a presentation on
Thursday 15th September at 7:30pm.
In this funny, practical and moving talk, Steve makes parenthood easier and
happier, from babyhood right through the teen years. Tickets can be booked
online at a cost of $30 each.

Term 3 Hot Dog sales
Our SRC students will continue to sell hot dogs on Fridays during Term 3. The same
arrangements will stay in place. Hot dogs are $2 each; orders need to be in the box
by Thursday morning. Order forms are on our website.
Term 3 School Banking Competition
The Dollarmites have discovered Prize Lights in the Outback Sky.
School bankers who make 3 or more deposits in Term 3 have a chance to win one of
the Star saver prizes, including camping kits, instant cameras and magazine
packs. See the poster in the Front office area or look out for a flyer in your bank book.
