This integration guide provides sellers with information to create and manage Pricefalls listings using the Datafeed Manager. This guide will walk through the steps of configuring your Shipping profile, preparing your datafeed, scheduling automated uploads, and reviewing datafeed processing results. Prerequisites This guide assumes you are familiar with using datafeeds. It also assumes you are familiar with using File Transfer Protocols and/or URL(s) to provide your datafeed to Pricefalls. Before using this document, you must have created a Pricefalls seller account, and completed the Store Sign-up process, including: General Info Appearance Contact Policies Get Paid Billing Steps To Complete Datafeed Update Integration There are five steps to effectively manage your inventory using datafeeds: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Set your Shipping Model Prepare your Datafeed and Category Map Complete your Datafeed Manager settings Verify your Datafeed Schedule Reviewing Your Results Important Note: Please be sure to review your Shipping Profile settings before finalizing your datafeed. The requirements for your datafeed format may change depending on your shipping profile settings! 4 Pricefalls, LLC II. Setting Up Your Shipping Model Before configuring your datafeed you must complete your shipping profile. Navigate to your shipping profile by clicking “Shipping Profile” on the left hand navigation of your “Store Dashboard” under “Settings”. Page One: Profile Type The four steps of page one are defined below: Step 1: Selecting a Shipping Profile Type Step 2: Setting Shipping Service Options Step 3: Setting Shipping Lead Times Step 4: Setting Regional and Destination Restrictions i. Selecting a Shipping Profile Type Pricefalls provides five shipping profile types: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Shipping Carrier Rates Per Item/Weight-based By Order Total Shipping Cost In Datafeed Free Shipping The first step in setting up your Shipping Model is selecting a Shipping Profile. Important Note: You can map the “Shipping Type” label to a column in your datafeed to override your shipping profile settings for products that have irregular shipping costs. This can be used for any of the five shipping profile types. To indicate that you would like to use the shipping price in your datafeed for any product, add the value ‘datafeed’ in the override column of the row associated with that product. Include the correct shipping price in the Shipping Price column for the row. By doing so, you are telling the system to use the shipping price indicated in the datafeed for the product, instead of using your shipping profile. You can also enter ‘Free’ to apply free shipping to any product. Leaving the row’s override column blank will indicate to use the shipping profile. 5 Pricefalls, LLC 1. Shipping Carrier Rates (Your FedEx, UPS, or USPS Rates) This shipping profile calculates your shipping cost by connecting directly to your carrier’s API. All products must include a shipping weight and shipping dimensions in your datafeed. If this option is selected, the Shipping Rates step will prompt you to enter your API Access Keys. Links are provided in the next step to help you find this information. FedEx https://www.fedex.com/us/developer/web-services/process.html?tab=tab2 UPS https://www.ups.com/upsdeveloperkit?loc=en_US You will then “Choose the corresponding Shipping Carrier Services” and “Provide the Zip Code your Items Ship From”. Important Note: Shipping weights must be provided in pounds as a floating point number (eg. ‘10’). Dimensions must be provided in inches as a floating point numbers, and must use ‘L:W:H’ formatting (eg. ‘15:10:10’). 2. Per Item/Weight-based (Based on Item Count or Weight) This option allows you to set a principle amount per order, plus an additional cost perpound or per-item. After selecting ‘Per Item/Weight-based’, select the appropriate ‘PerItem Pricing Model’. The next step will allow you to set principle amounts and additional costs based on your selected service options and shipping destinations. Example (per weight): 6 Pricefalls, LLC 3. By Order Total (Price Tiered by Order Total Amount) Selecting this option will allow you to set a shipping price by total order value. Example: 4. Shipping Cost in Datafeed or Single Listing (Specified per Item) Selecting this option will pull shipping costs on a per item basis from the values provided in your datafeed. If you have multiple shipping speeds available you will have the ability to select the associated shipping price columns when you configure your datafeed. 5. FREE Shipping on all Products Selecting this option will apply free shipping to all items. ii. Setting Shipping Service Options The next step is to select which shipping services your organization offers (at least one must be selected). Pricefalls allows for the following shipping speeds: Standard (3 - 7 Business Days)* Expedited (1 - 4 Business Days) Two-Day (2 Business Days Contiguous US only) One-Day (1 Business Day Contiguous US only) 7 Pricefalls, LLC iii. Setting Shipping Lead Times The Shipping Lead time is the number of business days it takes to ship an order once it is placed by a customer. This doesn't include the transit time - it is only reflective of the time it takes you to process, pack, and ship. When we present expected delivery time on our details page, the Shipping Lead Time is added to the estimated ship time for the shipping service selected in the previous step. Days where your store does not have business hours are accounted for in the shipping lead time. Your Shipping lead time is set at the account level, for all items listed. Important Note: Use the column label “Lead Time” in the “Datafeed Manager: Feed Mapper” step, to override your store-wide lead time on a line-item level. This allows you to set different lead times for products that take longer than usual to ship. iv. Setting Regional and Destination Restrictions Here you can select restrictions on customer shipping addresses. You can indicate either yes or no on the following types of addresses: Accept buyers from outside the contiguous US (include AK, HI, PR) Accept buyers with APO/FPO/DPO addresses Accept buyers who elect to ship to PO Boxes Pricefalls will display your preferences during checkout. After all selections on this page are complete click: Page Two: Shipping Rates On this page you will set your shipping rates based on the Shipping Model that was chosen in step one. If you elected to use the following Profile Types, you will skip this step. “Shipping Cost in Datafeed or Single Listing” “FREE Shipping on all Products” 8 Pricefalls, LLC i. Carrier API Settings If UPS is selected as the carrier you must have your UPS API credentials handy on this step. Refer to information provided within “i. Selecting a Shipping Profile Type”, “1. Shipping Carrier Rates (Your FedEx, UPS, or USPS Rates)” to complete this step. If your items ship from multiple warehouses, select: By doing so, you are indicating that you will include the shipping origin zip-code within the “Override for Shipping Source” column label of your datafeed. ii. Per Item or Weight Based Settings Please utilize the on screen instructions as well as the examples provided within “i. Selecting a Shipping Profile Type”, “2. Per Item/Weight-based (Based on Item Count or Weight)” to complete this step. After you’ve entered the required information click: Page Three: Summary i. Review and Confirm Here you will confirm all of the information provided on the previous steps. Once all of the information is confirmed check: “My Shipping Rates are accurate”, and click continue. 9 Pricefalls, LLC This completes the SETTING UP YOUR SHIPPING PROFILE section on Pricefalls. Next section: “Preparing Your Datafeed and Category Map” 10 Pricefalls, LLC III. Preparing Your Datafeed and Category Map Notes Before Setting Up Your Datafeed Pricefalls can accept a variety of datafeed column formats. To avoid missing information, we recommend sellers use the column headers within the Pricefalls Listing Template. You may also choose to use a predefined format from another shopping engine. Acceptable datafeed formats are: Custom Format *Pricefalls *Bing Shopping *Google Shopping *Nextag *Pricegrabber *Share a Sale *Shopzilla *The Find *If you are using one of the predefined formats, column headers are predefined in the “Feed Mapping” step of integration. If you choose to use a “Custom Format”, you will be able to select a column from your feed for each of the required Pricefalls column labels. Your datafeed must be provided in a comma-separated values (CSV) file format, or as a tab-delimited (TXT) text file. Within the first row of your datafeed, each column should contain a descriptive and unique column label. Every row must contain exactly one product. A custom datafeed does not need to have Pricefalls’ column label naming conventions, but keep in mind that you will need to identify each column by its header when completing the “Feed Mapper”. Datafeeds that exceed a file size of 10Mb must be provided as a compressed file, using Zip or Gzip compression. If your datafeed exceeds 10mb, or 100,000, please contact your Pricefalls account representative for listing approval. It is important to use specific categories, otherwise your products may not appear in faceted results. You can download the Pricefalls category taxonomy by clicking Download Full Category Structure on the left hand side of your store Dashboard under “Helpful Files”. Important Note: If you provide Pricefalls categories in your feed, you do not need a category map. 15 Pricefalls, LLC i. Using your own category taxonomy If you use your own category taxonomy in your datafeed, you will need a category map that associates each of your categories with a valid Pricefalls category. The category map should be in CSV format. Column A must contain your category trail, and Column B will contain the corresponding Pricefalls category trail. The Pricefalls category in your category map must be an exact match to Pricefalls categories found in the “Full Category Structure”. An option for “Upload a category map” is given in the “Page Two: Feed Mapper” section of the Datafeed Manager. ii. Use A Single Pricefalls Category If you choose to use a single Pricefalls Category for all of your products, you do not need a category map. You can set a default category for all your listings within the “Page Two: Feed Mapper” section of the Datafeed Manager. iii. Use a supported channel feed If you choose to use a supported channel feed, simply include the channel’s valid categories in your datafeed, the categories will automatically be converted to Pricefalls’ category structure and you do not need a category map. iv. Next Section: SETTING UP YOUR DATAFEED 16 Pricefalls, LLC IV. Setting Up Your Datafeed Manager The Datafeed Manager can be found on the left hand navigation of the Store Dashboard under the Products section. Page One: Settings The three steps of page one are defined below: Step 1: Choosing a New or Existing Datafeed Template Step 2: Uploading an Initial Datafeed Step 3: Setting Product Conditions Step 4: Setting Product Quantity Step 5: Setting Listing Duration Step 6: Adjusting Product Pricing Step 7: Closing Items That Are Not In Your Feed i. Choosing a New or Existing Datafeed Template 1. Select Selling Method Pricefalls offers “Fixed Price” and “Dutch Auction” as selling methods. We recommend that the typical ecommerce retailer, selling commodity products, should choose “Fixed Price”. This means you will be selling your items for a fixed amount. If you would like to run descending price auctions on your products, please select “Dutch Auction” as your selling method. To learn more about Dutch Auctions click here. 2. Select Feed Column Format Pricefalls supports various formats from multiple shopping engines. Pricefalls also has a standard listing template, which can be downloaded here. If you are using a format from another shopping engine, your column headers will be predefined for you on the “Feed Mapping” step. If you choose “Custom Format” you will have full control over the mapping of your feed columns on the following steps. 17 Pricefalls, LLC 3. Enter a Settings Profile Name Typically, sellers will only have one Settings Profile. You can use any name to reference the template you create. If you have multiple feeds that require different settings, you can set up multiple Setting Profiles, and name these profiles to easily reference the template if you need to make future edits. ii. Uploading Your Datafeed On this step you will upload your datafeed for configuration purposes. Click “Add Datafeed” and select your file. Your datafeed must be a comma-separated (CSV), or tab-delimited (TXT) text file. The first row must contain descriptive and unique column headers. Every consecutive row must contain exactly one product, with data organized under the respective column headers. It is not necessary to upload your entire feed on this step. The purpose of this file is to map your column headers to the appropriate Pricefalls Labels on “Page Two: Feed Mapper”. If the datafeed file size exceeds 10Mb, please compress your feed using Zip or Gzip compression before uploading. No datafeed can exceed 100,000 products. To request a quota raise, please contact us once your store is fully set up and your initial datafeed has been processed. Feed Specifications File Extension: Txt, Csv, Zip, or Gz Delimiters: Tab (\t) or Comma (,) Maximum Nr. of Rows: 100,000 Maximum File Size: 10MB iii: Setting Product Conditions Here you will be setting the way in which Pricefalls determines the condition of your products. This allows you to select a condition that applies to all of your products. The available options are: 18 Pricefalls, LLC 1. My datafeed contains a condition column for every product. Here you are indicating that your feed contains the condition information for each product in your inventory. 2. I would like to set a condition that applies to all of my products Here you are indicating that all of you products are in the same condition and you can select the appropriate value. Keep in mind, as stated in the Datafeed Specifications section, acceptable condition values for your datafeed are: New Open Box Used Refurbished Please ensure that all products in your datafeed have the appropriate product condition. iv. Setting Product Quantity Pricefalls provides sellers with two ways of defining the quantity available for each product. On this step, please select from one of these option: 1. My datafeed contains a stock column for every product. Selecting this option indicates that you have a quantity column in your feed and that each product row in your feed contains a quantity value. 2. I would like to set a quantity that applies to all of my products. If your datafeed does not contain a quantity column, set a default stock for all of your products. Optional Feature – Stock Availability Override: If your datafeed includes a column that indicates whether a product “in stock”, but does not have a numerical value associated with the available quantity, you may choose to use the stock status override feature. By using this feature you are telling the system that you have a column in your datafeed indicating the stock status for the product. 19 Pricefalls, LLC Acceptable values: 'Yes' or 'No' 'Y' or 'N' 'True' or 'False' 'In Stock' or 'Out of Stock' 'Discountinued' '1' or '0' To elect to use the Stock Status Override feature, choose “I would like to set a quantity that applies to all of my products” and enter a default quantity on this step. On Page Two: Feed Mapper, you will be able to map your column to the Pricefalls’ “Stock Availability” Label.” If your datafeed contains a stock status indicating that a product is available, then the number of items you selected as the default quantity will be listed. v: Setting Listing Duration Here you can select the length of time that your listings will remain active. You can either include a numerical value in your datafeed or you can select a default value for all of your products. 1. For companies with infrequent updates This value is most useful for companies with infrequent updates who wish to list their products for a specific number of days. After the listing duration expires, any remaining inventory will be deactivated. 2. For companies with frequent updates If you are updating your products frequently, the system will activate and close listings based on what items and stock quantities are provided in your datafeed. Therefore, simply select “I would like to set a listing duration that applies to all of my products” and choose a number of days that is greater than your update frequency. When your datafeed updates, items included in the datafeed will be updated. Items not included in the datafeed will not be updated. Important Note: If you need to remove items that are not included in your datafeed, make sure to select ‘Yes’ in step 7 to turn on “Close items that are not in my feed”. 20 Pricefalls, LLC vi. Adjusting Product Pricing Pricefalls can automatically re-price your products based on a percentage or dollar amount you choose. The Pricefalls system will adjust the product prices in your feed automatically using the percentage or dollar amount designated on this step. This step allows you to lowering your prices a bit to gauge increases in sales volume. vii. Closing Items That Are Not In Your Feed This setting indicates whether or not you would like to deactivate the items that are not contained within your next inventory upload. Select “Yes” If you plan on sending your entire inventory feed each inventory update and remove out of stock products from your feed. Select “No” If you only send portions of your inventory feed for each inventory update and wish to keep the products that are not contained within your feed active. Once you have confirmed your selections on this page click 21 Pricefalls, LLC Page Two: Feed Mapper The seven steps of page two are defined below: Step 1: Preview Your Datafeed Step 2: Mapping Your Column Headers to Pricefalls’ Column Labels Step 3: Applying Advanced Settings (Optional) Step 4: Creating Advanced Categories (Optional) Step 5: Creating Advanced Titles (Optional) Step 6: Creating Advanced Descriptions (Optional) Step 7: Applying Additional Product Attributes (Recommended) i. Preview Your Datafeed On the beginning of “Page Two: Feed Mapper”, Pricefalls provides an output of how the system read your datafeed. The first two rows of your feed are displayed. If your data columns appear out of order, or the data is otherwise corrupt, please go back to the previous step and verify that the uploaded file is a valid comma-separated (csv), or tab delimited (txt) file, with lines terminated by end-of-line characters. If your data looks correct, please proceed to Mapping Your Columns to Pricefalls’ Column Labels. ii. Mapping Your Column Headers to Pricefalls Column Labels On this step you will be mapping the column headers from your datafeed to the associated Pricefalls Column Labels. The left column shows all possible Pricefalls Column Labels. If you are using a pre-defined feed format, please verify that all columns are mapped correctly before continuing. If you are attempting to map your own datafeed, please ensure that all required columns are mapped. To map a column, select the appropriate column header from your feed using the drop down menu provided next to each Pricefalls Column Label. You can also set a default value for most of the Pricefalls column labels by selecting “Set Default Value” from the dropdown and entering the desired default value. This applies one value in this label for all products. If you do not need to use any given column label, leave the selection as “ – Select your Column –“ For information and explanations of Pricefalls Column Labels, refer to the “Datafeed Specifications” section of this document. 22 Pricefalls, LLC iii. Applying Advanced Settings (Optional) Advanced Settings allow you to modify particular columns of your datafeed. Here you can set rules that convert some of your data columns to comply with our data quality standards. 1. Enable Image Base URL? If your datafeed does not contain full image URLs, you can use this setting prepend the image paths in your datafeed with an “Image Base URL”. The system will prepend your Image Columns with the URL entered in this field. This creates a working image URL when your datafeed is processed. 2. Enable Description Regex Filter? If your description column contains invalid characters, or phrasing that is not compliant with our User Policies, you may apply a Regular Expression rule in an attempt to filter these out. Please ensure that the entered pattern is a valid Regular Expression. iv. Creating Advanced Categories (Optional) If your product categories are distributed over several columns, use the advanced categories editor to combine your category columns to create one category trail. 23 Pricefalls, LLC First, map your head level category to the "Product Category" label in the "Map your Feed Column Headers" above. Next, enable the Advanced Categories module and add up to 9 additional columns that when combined will result in your full product category. In the next step, you will provide a category map file that converts these created categories to valid Pricefalls categories. The created categories will be Pipe ( | ) delimited. Important Note: You must have a valid category map to use this option. Your categories must be separated by the pipe character in order for your category map to validate! v. Creating Advanced Titles (Optional) You can use multiple columns to create better titles. It is possible that your feed contains columns that, when combined or slightly altered, form a perfect Product Title. In this event, map one of the columns to the "Product Title" label in the "Map your Feed Column Headers" section. Next, enable the Advanced Titles module and set up to 4 rules to edit your title column. The “Use this Column” option will tell the system to call from a certain column in your datafeed. The “Use static text” option will allow you to enter static text. Example: Information in feed: IPhone 5 case Information in feed: White Advanced Title Result: IPhone 5 Case in White 24 Pricefalls, LLC vi. Creating Advanced Descriptions (Optional) You can use multiple columns within your datafeed to create the best descriptions possible. Your datafeed may contain several description columns. If you would like to combine these into your Pricefalls product descriptions, map the first part of your descriptions to the "Product Description" label in the "Map your Feed Column Headers" section. Next, enable the Advanced Description module and set up to 5 more columns that when combined, will result in your Product Description. When enabled, the column you mapped to the "Product Description" attribute will serve as the first part of your Product Description. The system will append the contents of the columns you map below to form your full product descriptions. vii. Applying Additional Product Attributes (Recommended) You can use as many as 10 additional product attributes that are not default Pricefalls Column Labels. Your datafeed may contain additional product attribute columns, such as “Memory” for computers, “Case Size” for a watch, or other product specifications that you would like to display to your customers. We enable you to give these attributes a unique label, and will include the information as part of your product description. Simply enter a label you would like to set, and choose the column in your datafeed that provides this information. These entries will show as “Product Specifications” on your product pages. 25 Pricefalls, LLC Important Note: Do not re-map any columns that have already been mapped in the “Map your Feed Column Headers” section. These attributes will already be added to the “Product Specifications” section of the listing. Once you have confirmed all of your selections on this page click: Page Three: Category Model On this page you will choose your category model. i. Selecting Your Category Model 1.
