The proper citation of the type for Selaginella densa Rydb. is (new text in bold):
Typus: U.S.A., Montana, Blaine Co., Little Rocky Mountain, Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, Sep 1889, Havard (NY No.
144099, lectotypus, designated by Tryon in Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 42: 66. 1955; isolectotypus: US).
We noted the lectotypification in the text at the bottom of page 253 and the top of page 254, but failed to state this in the
formal proposal for conservation.
