entertain, they invigorate a space and
infuse a sense of creativity.’

‘Anna Gillespie sculpts human figures
from natural materials, underlining our
connection and dependence on nature
and our environent.
Deeply poetic, each work is powerful but
with a quiet resonance of tranquility and
calm.’

‘Anna Gillespie’s artwork continues
to go from strength to strength.
Her inclusion in the RHS Chelsea
Flower Show 2013, and her
commission for Glastonbury
Festival during the same year has
brought a wave of new attention
to her captivating ecological
sculpture.
She has also just completed a
major public sculpture commission
in Kazakhstan.’

Stephen Farley
‘Stephen Farley creates tactile
sculptures that play with the origins
of organic life.
After an industrial eye accident
Stephen amazingly used his newly
fragmented vision as the basis for
some of his most profound work.
Smile in the Crowd references him
reaching out of visual confusion to a
friendly face in a stadium of people.’

Tim Garner
‘It’s as if Garner has distilled a
sense of Northern identity, its soul,
its spirit, on the page....
The images have a hazy quality
but also employ vivid colours at
times. This gives them a sense of
being representations of distant
memories both faded by time but
also brighter than reality.’
Joe Turnbull, culture critic and
commentator for the Guardian and
Frieze

Berlino
‘After pursuing a successful career
of 15 years as a bespoke jeweller,
Berlino’s artistic flair expanded
into painting where he began
experimenting with using elements
he was familiar with such as gold and
silver leaf.
He evolved a very distinctive style,
particularly with regard to large-scale
abstracts.
Winning a prestigious international
sculpture competition in 2008 for the
world’s largest property developers,
the Dubai-based company Emaar,
resulted in Berlino producing the
first major contemporary sculpture
commissioned in the Gulf titled ‘La
Concha’.

‘Matt Wilde’s work has a raw
energy. His figures represent the
daily battle with the comings and
goings of getting from A to B: ‘Life
is something that happens while
you’re making other plans.’
His streetscapes are hard-edged
yet with a humorous charm. The
irony and self-deprecation of Matt’s
work give an opportunity to release
daily anxieties with a quiet smile.’

‘Matt’s use of urban architecture shows the glamour
that attracts you to the Big City. While this is a world
we all too easily recognise, through Wilde’s eyes we
somehow come to grips with its enormity and pathos.’
“I have incorporated newspaper cuttings along with
shopping receipts and tickets from public transport
since 1998. I feel that they serve a purpose as a
foundation to my work, capturing a moment in time
along with dates and headlines.”

‘Colin Park uses energy and adrenalin
to produce his oil paintings with a
pallet knife in a single sitting.
He approaches the canvas with a
mind free of plan and distraction and
allows the painting to develop as he
moves the paint over the canvas.
