Coaching Bios and Resumes Pam Lahmann (Girls 12’s): Like many of our coaches, Pam brings a ton of experience to Spike Milwaukee. This is Pam's third year coaching for Spike Milwaukee. Pam started her coaching career as the boys’ JV coach at Waukesha North for one year, then switched over to the girls’ head coach for 13 years. After taking a break to raise her family, she got back in to coaching recently by coaching 8th grade for Whitman Middle School. In addition to her coaching, Pam has literally been ensconced in volleyball since her playing days at UWWC and watching her son and daughter become very accomplished volleyball players in high school and college. She brings loads of enthusiasm and is very dedicated. Ashtin Neuschaefer (Girls 13’s): Ashtin is in her first season with Spike Milwaukee VBC, but has been coaching for 8 years. She began coaching at the high school level while in college at UW-Stevens Point. She coached Junior Varsity for Pacelli High School and then Stevens Point Area Senior High School. Ashtin also spent time coaching Girls 16’s and 17’s at Wisconsin Ice VBC during this time. After returning home to Milwaukee she transitioned into coaching middle school volleyball at St. Sebastian, where she still coaches during the fall season. Ashtin has a deep love and passion for the game that she hopes to pass on to all of the girls that she coaches. Stephanie Nagawiecki (Boys 13’s) This is Stephanie's first year coaching at Spike Milwaukee but her second year coaching volleyball. She was a coach last year and focused greatly on skill development and playing together as a team. She is also a very passionate volleyball player and has spent many years focusing on making her game stronger. She has played all positions on the court and greatly enjoys each of them. She played competitively in high school and for a couple clubs in Illinois but has now chosen in her adulthood to play on recreational leagues for fun. She also teaches mathematics and loves working with kids. Her positive attitude will be a great asset to the Spike Milwaukee team! Brandon Nelsen (Boys 14’s): Brandon is an eight year veteran of coaching junior volleyball. This is his fourth year coaching at Spike Milwaukee. Last season he coached the 16’s boys team, but in previous years he has also coached our 15’s boys team. Additionally, Brandon coaches the boys team with the Jr. Trojans Volleyball Club (a Tosa West feeder program) and he has been involved with the boys’ volleyball program at Grace Lutheran School in Menomonee Falls as a head coach for 5 years and assistant for 2 years. Brandon brings a balance of skill development and winning to the Spike Milwaukee program. He has coached his various volleyball teams to finish with a first and third place league title, as well as 2 first place, 2 runner-up and 2 third place victories at various tournaments. Furthermore, Brandon prides himself on always being focused on creating a learning experience for his players and building a successful team atmosphere. Jimmy Bonkowski (Boys 15’s): This is Jimmy's second year as a Spike Milwaukee coach. Jimmy, however, is no stranger to the game of volleyball--both as a player and a coach. What's impressive about Jimmy is that in spite of his shorter stature (he's 5'11"), Jimmy learned all of the positions on the court equally. With his amazing jumping ability, Jimmy played all positions on the court during his high school and college days...including middle blocker/hitter. This well-rounded knowledge of the game has already helped him immensely as he has been an assistant to the Tosa West boys coaching staff these past three years. Mature beyond his years, Jimmy brings an infectious positive attitude which his team will thrive off of. Jerry Lahmann (Boys 16’s): Jerry has been coaching with Trojan VBC /Spike Milwaukee for eight years now--two years as the 16’s coach and five years as the 17’s coach and one year as both a 16’s and 17’s coach. In 2012, Jerry led his 16’s team to a third place finish at the Badger Region Championships. Additionally, Jerry is currently the co-head coach for the Wauwatosa West girls’ varsity volleyball team. Prior to Jerry’s club coaching experience, he was the Waukesha North boys’ varsity head coach for 12 years. Many of his high school teams earned several accolades under his leadership. Most notably he led his team to four State Semi-Finals appearances and one State Runner up. Jerry is, without question, one of the most accomplished coaches that Southeast Wisconsin has seen. Jeffrey Liker (Club Director): Jeff has been the Club Director of Spike Milwaukee/Trojan VBC since he started it in 2006. In that time, his club has fielded several successful teams. Prior to starting his own club, Jeff was the boys’ head coach at Wauwatosa West for five years. In five years, he led his teams to two State Tournament appearances (one State Runner-Up and one State Semi-finals) and two Sectional finals. Additionally, Jeff coached one year for the Freshman girls’ team at Wauwatosa West. Jeff has run dozens of camps and clinics for youth volleyball and is actively involved in all aspects of the game. Most recently, Jeff created a middle school volleyball program at Whitman Middle School and is the Board President of the non-profit volleyball club, Junior Trojan Volleyball Club.
